2. The colour used for the homepages are quite dark
predominately using greys and black are the main
colours for the sites. The black is used as it represents
something sinister. We also see the use of red in 2/3 of
the horror homepages, this gives an indication to the
audience that there will be death as we relate the colour
red to blood and death.
3. One main generic convention we see used through all
the homepages, is the use of social media links for the
interaction of the audience. This is good for
advertisement of the film and also allows the audience
to get more information about the film its self from other
sources not just the website.
4. The text used is very clear and relates well to the trailer,
it is also in keeping with the font and theme of the poster
as well. Making it more obvious to the audience that
these things are related.

6. Another generic convention of most horror movie homepages is to have the background
story behind the film. We can see from insidious that the amount of information given is
very minimal. As a result the audience isn’t overwhelmed with text and information. Unlike
The Conjuring where there is a huge bulk of text which can put some audience members off.
7. One feature we see used is a gallery section, this is pretty cool for the
audience to have it gives snap shot images from the film and also
behind the scene images. Which allows the audience to analyse the
film more and have more information about it.
8. For both of these sites there is the option to turn down/off the
music playing the background this is a really good feature of the
homepage as it repeats the music because its on a continuous
loop which after a while can get irritating to listen to.
