2. Saturday 5th
November 2016:
Caddington Park
On this day we met for filming to continuing our shots for the production of our
horror teaser trailer-here our group aimed to film the majority of the shots
consisting from Caddington. This day was rather important so it was essential
for us to be prepared and ready for any issues that we encounter.
As it was the 5th November, we did have that worrying issue of the day being
Fireworks night, obviously people shall be out celebrating this holiday, so our
footage may be interfered with people or unwanted fire work sounds. However,
nevertheless, our group was determined to continue with the footage and
ensure that everything goes ahead as planned. Additionally, as a group, we also
needed to work rather quickly to get the footage filmed due to the winter
periods in which nights get darker which will interfere with our shots-this will
also increase our safety there as obviously dark settings can be dangerous.
I shall be reprising my role as Eve again, as well as on stand by help for my team.
Discussing relevant shots and what may look good in the frame to enhance our
production. Abi and Danielle will take it in turns to film the shots. All of us as
team, both discussed each shot throughout each take, outlining the pros and
cons of each filmed footage and if it would be worth reshooting it altogether.
I would say that we worked together quite closely as a group and got a lot of the
work completed for our media production. The group itself is rather reliable and
all got here on time atAbi’s home, ready to film the remaining shots that
needed to be done outside. The prompted earliness from us all allowed us to
begin and set up in good time and stay on top of schedule.
3. Saturday 5th
November 2016:
Caddington Park
2:40pm-3:00pm
When we met up, we starting to prep for the scenes that were soon to come, this
consisted of myself using my knowledge of applying theatrical makeup and creating
the SFX within our production-this included the piece of the paper stating “They’re
Near!” in blood as well as “Its you”. I used my blood palette to complete the specific
shots that were required to give that dramatic effect for filming. This was a
consuming task as it required effort into making the blood realistic and authentic for
our shots so they remain visually pleasing and engaging for audiences.
I spent most time doing this but I also kept some more blood back to touch up the
makeup pieces throughout production to give the best quality footage we can and for
it to look professional.
After the conclusion of this-our group was ready to go, we proceeded to gather
everything all together and prepare to leave Abi’s Home to film the remaining shots.
We started walking down and entered the desired park location in no less than 5
minutes. Here we prepared everything, building up the tripod and securing the areas
around the location, placing up signs to indicate we are filming and to be respectful,
we than got our shot logs and scripts, and was ready to film.We started filming by
3:10pm.
4. Saturday 5th
November 2016:
Caddington Park
At 3:10pm, we aimed to shoot shots 44-53 in which our group will cover the
ending scenes where Eve begins seeing figures and abnormal happenings
around the playpark.
Due to the dark atmosphere, we managed to acquire lighting from three
phones to show some lighting within our shots and make it seem rather tense
in situations. The two torches provided us with great usefulness in capturing
character emotions and actions. I think if we were to reshoot anything, than I
would provide a torch as this may be an added use for lighting. As one of our
phones did run out of battery.
During this scene, I continued my role as character Eve where Abi directed
both Danielle and I into different scenes, successfully informing us of camera
work and character actions that were required for each shot. I worked my
best in providing motions, dialogue and movement in bringing the character
Eve to life. Danielle filmed the shots predominantly which was occasionally
taking over byAbi to film certain scenes.
A specific scene required team work in which signals were needed to inform
each member that the antagonist character was ready to start filming. We all
needed to spread out across the park, and inform one another via torch
signals that filming was in motion. From this I would have to say the reliant
help with my group is clearly evident and worked together as a whole to
produce shots for the production.

2016:
Caddington
Park
The next part of the evening consisted of filming the alleyway shots.
AgainAbi, Danielle and myself, were mostly involved with
producing shots 46-57 in order to complete filming consisting from
Caddington Park that night.
Again, Danielle mostly filmed as Abi directed scenes yet there was a
scene where Danielle and I had to appear in the alley, givingAbi the
chance to film.
After the conclusion of our filming we than began to pack up and
leave-our next planned filming schedule would be at Manshead
School onThursday 10th November 2016.These shall consist of the
school shots and thus can than allow our group to go onto the post
production stage and start editing!
6. Conclusion:
In all, the success of this day went down really well-The results
overall were very satisfying. We managed to gather the shots we
intended to film and thus concluding our filming for Caddington
park.
I think if we were to improve for next time-I think I may need to
bring a torch in case scenes gets too dark for us throughout filming
again as there were some shots that worked but also that were to
dark. The torches on the phone were used effectively however one
of our phones died so it may be good to have a backup just in case.
However, nevertheless the day turned into a great success. Our
group managed to get successful shots that we can use for our
production.
I think if I was too improve on next time, is to have an attempt at
filming when I'm not in shots-however this time around I was in the
main ones so I had to be however looking at the shot log, I do see
shots that I am not in so I think this will be a great opportunity to do.
