1. Magna Charta Libertatum
In France, riots erupted on the part of the aristocracy that failed to
get the rights and privileges, and in 1215 King John made
concessions that were established in the Magna Charta Libertatum
that 'great charter of freedom'.
This document, put limits on the power of kings, and it was expected
that:
1) no tax could be imposed by the sovereign without the approval of
the Council of the Kingdom consists of barons and prelates.
2) every man was to be tried by a court composed of judges of
equal dignity 'social.
3) merchants and foreign men had the right to personal security and
freedom of movement throughout British

The Normans
The Normans came from Denmark and they spoke French
and French customs .They conquered England in 1066
1066 (Battle of Hastings) : Defeat of Harold II and the
Anglo-Saxon troops by William of Normandy
The feudal system : It consisted in a strongly hierarchical state ,
where the king at the top and below him were the barons and the
lords .
The middle class :was made up of merchants and yeomen
The Domesday book : was a record of land ownership in England
Henry II enforced the Costitution of Clarendon (1164): According to
this new law , the clerks or clergy who have committed crimes they
would be tried at the king’s court and then judged by the
ecclesiastical court
The king John signed a document known as the Magna Carta
3. War between France and Edward III because he wanted to defend
his French territories (ended in 1453)
The Wars of the Rose (1455 ) : was broke out between two
opposing dynasties , the House of Lancaster and the House of
York ( ended in 1458) with the Battle of Bosworth and the defeat of
Richard III by Henry Tudor
