 WORKING TITLE
- Young Lives
 SYNOPSIS
- Take a trip back down memory lane, when you experience all those awkward and terrifying teenage events all over again. A group
of school students (3 male and 1 female), find themselves in awkward and unexpected situations when trying to socialise. These
qualities are then put to the test when the whole school year is invited to a leaver’s party, as they try to retreat an object owned
by the host.
- The girl holding the leavers party is one of the most popular girls in school. However, the 4 main characters are set on retreating an
embarrassing object owned by her, such as a teddy bear. They get
themselves into painful situations such as trying to speak to a girl, but somehow seem to always to mess it up.
- Character 1-Jasper, is seen as the school geek. He is very quiet and nervous; however, he always seems to get a scientific comment out of
every situation. While trying to please girls with his
scientific nature, he often fails due to being so nervous and strange, adding comedy to his character.
- Character 2-Dylan, is the joker of the group. He is cocky and claims to have made lots of fantastic discoveries and achievements.
However, he tries to meet all these girls, while lying about many
situations. His character is quite comical towards the audience form the situations he lies about and the by the phrases he says.
- Character 3-Gretchen, is a bit strange. She is very awkward around a situation involving the opposite sex. She purposely avoids any
interaction with another member of society besides her close
friends and has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder with in the way on which people are sat.
- Character 4- Robert, is the failed school bully. He is hated by most of the school, however has a soft spot for his group of friends. He is
hiding his homosexuality through trying to be seen as manly
bully. His comedy is created through trying to be seen as intimidating, while failing to do so, as he finds himself in dangerous situations
and mysteriously has an accident.
- My Webpage will be based with a red, blue and white colour scheme, with a school logo, and many school related images such as “pie”,
which will then emphasise that the show is based on school
life. It will include language that is commonly used by teenagers and will then therefore attract its target audience.

 INTENDED AUDIENCE
- My intended will be both males and female aged between 15 and 35, as the situation presented in the
episode will be reflect on the embarrassing school memories that relate to their own lives. Through
looking at my audience research I have found that the most popular audience range form 16-30. I
will then therefore apply my survey results to my intended audience as it will then hopefully make
the show more successful.
 STYLE
- My programme will be in the style of A Situation Comedy. It will include many of the codes and conventions used in
the “sitcom” genre, such as comedy through
serious situations, a light hearted nature and both relatable situations and characters. The situations and characters
will represent teenage life as this then therefore
relates to the audience and will attract them into watching the show.
- I have being influenced by my survey results, and further sitcoms as they have helped me identify the common
codes and conventions shown in Situation Comedies
and what is seen as the most popular styles of characters.
- My Website will be in a graffiti style, with bright colours, but with the red, white a blue school theme, to emphasise
the young audience. It will include interactive

 RATIONALE
- My idea is relevant to my target audience as the situations and characters are based on
what teenagers go through in their school years. This is then therefore relevant as
everyone in my target audience will have experienced some sort of situation while at
school, causing them to be able to relate to the situations and characters that are being
presented. My product then therefore reflects the current media trends as in society many
students are currently going through many awkward and funny situations while at
school.
 FEASIBILITY
- My production will be filmed in a college and therefore will be easy to film and get hold
of. The technical in which we will use are already ready for us, so will then be easy for
us to create. The party location, will be based at a house in our local area, so it will be
easy for us to get to the location and to get the equipment to the house. Regarding my
website the software needed is at our college so it is very easy for us to use.

 BUDGET
- The budget for my products should be quite low, as it shouldn’t cost that much
to produce, as all of our equipment is already ready for us to use. However, if
we do go over our budget, we shall do a fundraiser to raise some extra money to
make the idea more successful.
