Initial ideas: mother looses child, commits suicide, comes

Differences
Equipment: Professional equipment has been used to
produce The Women in Black, however, we used average,
yet good quality equipment to produce the introduction to
Your Time is Up.

however, the remaining teenager investigating the other

Our production:
A real Production:
Similarities:
• Colours – Black White
• Frequency of words
• Emphasis on key words
• Capital letters
We decided to watch ‘The Woman in Black’ to pick
up ideas for our final task.
One of the outstanding ideas we liked was the long
shot of The Woman in Black in the forest. We
actually recreated this idea in the first minute of our
production and we believe it is an effective shot.
We have attempted to create the same costume
affect by dressing her in black, like The Woman in
Black. We have used these colours because they are
typical colours used in a horror genre.
In the Woman in Black
In our production
We also introduced our antagonistic spirit within the first few minutes of our
production. Our spirit was also dressed in black, and you couldn’t see her face.
We have the scene cutting in and out, positioning the spirit in different places
each cut. We have done this to make the spirit appear to be jumping from
placed to place.
We were inspired to introduce our antagonist at the beginning of our
introduction, as this technique proved to be affective in The Woman in Black.
We believe we have achieved the affect we were aiming for in the audience.
