2. What is targeted advertising?
Targeted advertising is a form of online advertising that focuses on the
specific traits, interests, and preferences of a consumer. Advertisers discover
this information by tracking your activity on the Internet.
3. How targeted t.v. advertising works
Targeted advertising occurs in is television. Advertisers can reach a consumer
that is using digital cable, which is classified as Internet Protocol Television
(IPTV).[11] This is effective when information is collected about the user, their
age, gender and location, and also their personal interests in films, etc. This
data is then processed, optimized and then consumers are advertised to
accordingly.

Create a Set Top Box Database
Start with the digital TV subscribers, with set top box number and name and address.
Append demographics from a compiled database
The strip off the name and address.
The remaining database has no personal identifying information, but is perfect for
targeting of ads.
