ACADEMIC PROJECTS
 ANALYSIS OF PROFILE SHIFTED SPUR GEAR USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD (June 2016).
Description: Designed profile shifted spur gears using Creo software, used Ansys Workbench to find
contact stress, bending stress and mesh stiffness of the spur gears.
 ROBOTIC ARM DESIGN AND FABRICATION (February 2014).
Description: Designed the complete Robot arm assembly using PTC Creo Elements/Pro v5.0 software.
Used aluminum L-sections for the fabrication of the robot arms. Worked with a group of four,
recorded the minutes of meeting and managed the work distribution. The Robot arm was
tested for carrying a load of 1 kg at its maximum extended position. Scored A Grade in the
project.
 HYDRAULIC SPOILERS IN SPORTS CARS: ASSEMBLY & ANIMATION (April 2014).
Description: Designed and animated the actuation of the hydraulic spoiler in sports car using Creo
software. Worked with a group of four and submitted the report with four different designs.
Scored A Grade in the project.
 CORVETTE LEAF SPRING STRESS ANALYSIS & OPTIMISATION (March 2014).
Description: Designed the model of leaf spring using Creo, and conducted the vibrational analysis of the
Corvette mono leaf spring using Abaqus CAE. Worked with a group of seven.
 HYDROPOWER SCHEME IN SCOTLAND: DESIGN, CALCULATION & COSTING (April 2014).
Description: Calculated and designed a Hydropower scheme which included the design of the penstock,
selection of turbine and design of turbine blades. This project is based on fluid mechanics and
its applications are Hydropower scheme, Oil & Gas etc. Worked with a group of four.
 BUSINESS GROUP PROJECT: “PYROTECH L.L.C.” Waste Plastic to Diesel Fuel (December 2013).
Description: The project was based on setting up an engineering company in the U.A.E. and to calculate
the initial investments in the beginning and the profit till 15 years. The topic was to convert
waste plastic bottle caps to diesel fuel, this conversion is done by Pyrolysis process, and hence
we decided to name the company as Pyrotech LLC. Worked with a group of nine, contributed
to the safety and poster presentation. Scored A Grade in the project.

 AUTOMOBILE CONNECTING ROD STRESS ANALYSIS & OPTIMISATION (November 2013).
Description: Designed the connecting rod using Abaqus CAE and conducted a structural analysis on the
connecting rod by giving the load and boundary condition to determine the induced stress. The
analysis was done using Abaqus CAE for connecting rod with pins and without pins.
 BRACKET DESIGN AND OUTDOOR DRYER DESIGN (April 2013).
Description: Calculated and designed the structural stability of the bracket and outdoor dryer. The project
focused on the design and manufacturing of different products. Used PTC Creo Elements/Pro
v5.0 to design the model.
 TRAFFIC DENSITY ANALYZER WITH IGNITION CUT-OFF (July 2012).
Description: Designed a prototype of 4-way traffic system with sensors. The traffic with more number of
vehicles will be detected and cleared quickly. The ignition cut-off system was used to turn off
the vehicle while idling in traffic to increase the fuel economy.
ACHIEVEMENTS

place in Aeroprix event in Technovanza 2016, Manipal University Dubai 2015-2016.
Description: Technovanza a technical fest held in Manipal University Dubai, hosted a mechanical event
called Aeroprix, the challenge was to design the helicopter body and to maintain the flight at
an elevated height. Successfully completed given challenge to secure first place.
 Won 2nd
place for exhibiting best code of conduct in the Library, Manipal University Dubai 2015-2016.
Description: Manipal University Dubai Library awarded me for utilizing the library resources efficiently.
 Won 2nd
place in the Bridge Construction competition held by E4L Heriot Watt 2014.
Description: The Engineers4Life E4L Society held a competition for constructing a prototype of a bridge
using wooden sticks. We were successful in designing the bridge with a load carrying capacity
of half kg. Worked with a group of four to design the prototype of the bridge. Learnt brain
storming and quick decision making.
