The document summarizes key aspects of the tropical rainforest ecosystem, including climate, location, plants, and animals. The climate is hot and humid with high rainfall. Tropical rainforests are located near the equator. Common plants discussed are bromeliads and orchids, while example animals mentioned are pink river dolphins and howler monkeys. A predator-prey relationship between golden dorada fish and giant armadillos is also briefly described.

3. Plants Bromeliads; Bromeliads are found in the tropical rainforest, they’re related to the pineapple family. They are thick, waxy leaves form a bowl shape in the middle to catch water. Some bromeliads can hold several gallons of water! They also provide homes for several creatures including, Frogs, tadpoles salamanders, snails, beetles and mosquito larvae, Tropical orchids; There are 20,000 known species and they’re mostly found in moist tropical regions. Temperate orchids usually grow in soil but tropical orchids are more often epiphytes which grow non parasitically on trees. They vary considerably in shape, color and size. A common pattern is three petals and three petal like sepals, the lower petal has a very distinctive appearance
4. Animals Pink River Dolphin; Pink River Dolphins are grey and turn pink with age. They turn pink because there skin becomes translucent allowing the blood to show through.
