• Opportunity to work closely with one or more individuals in the position
to which you aspire
• Capstone of the program
• Opportunity to put theory (course work knowledge and skills) into action
• Opportunity to “learn the work” in a safe environment—management
and leadership
• Opportunity to gain confidence in your ability to “do the work” and to
“see yourself doing the work”
• Opportunity to network with other professionals—networking and
sponsorship
• Opportunity to reflect on the role and the work
• Opportunity to clarify if “this work” is the right work for you
• Opportunity to better figure out how to balance your life (personal,
professional, and internship)

Collection of Evidence (COE)
• The program handbook for 2015-16 is being edited and revised as
needed.
• The handbook is intended to have the information you need for your
internship, including forms, rubrics, etc.
• You will be sent a revised handbook when it is ready for distribution—
