Project proposal title and date:
‘Beautiful & Bizarre’ - a Pococurante fashion film
Main area of activity:
The main medium I am going to work with is Adobe Premiere Pro as I am creating a fashion film. I
am also going to use Photoshop to create various photo edits.
Rationale:
One of the first projects I worked on was ‘Music Videos’ which was arguably the most pivotal
project I did in terms of a direct relationship to my FMP. For example, I have acquired great skills
with Adobe Premiere Pro. I am great at utilising the various effects available in the programme and
excel at syncing music with clips as well as audio editing on various other software like Cubase. I
have also learned how to use Adobe Photoshop in the print module of year one and I am great at
photo manipulation including perspective warps and distortion.
Project Concept:
I am going to going to explore the ideas of ‘Beauty & bizarre’ through a fashion film. I am then
going to create a digital art gallery with various edits and footage that I have used. The research I
will have to conduct will be things like analysing shots and techniques that are utilised in other
fashion films as well as trying to interview some people that are in the field of fashion filmography
to gain a better insight.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I am going to evaluate my work by using previous feedback for other modules that maybe relevant
to my FMP. For example, I mentioned that I did ‘Music Videos’ last year and I think the feedback I
got for that will be relevant and will prove useful. Luckily, I will have an array of resources I can pull
together to do my self-reflection as I have learned a lot and done one at the end of each module.
