Delhi Jal Board planned to monitor/control for 7 Nos. of pumping stations at Pitampura UGR
and remote monitoring of DMA/Control points from 14 locations.
The scope of this project includes,Design,Development,Supply,installation and
commissioning of SCADA Server, SCADA Client, Data Collection Server,RTU/PLC.

5. Automation and Upgradation of Continuous Galvanizing Line-2 for TATA Steel
Jamshedpur.
Tata Steel founded India’s first industrial city, now Jamshedpur, where it established India’s
first integrated steel plant in 1907. The Jamshedpur Works currently comprises of a 9.7 MTPA
crude steel production facility and a variety of finishing mills.
Scope of this project includes
 Study of existing RIO-Panels at CGL2.
 Design,Supply and commissioning support for RIO Panels(09 Nos.) at CGL2 plant in
TATA Steel, Jamshedpur.

ACCIL has one of the largest Cold Rolling Mill Complex with an installed capacity of 300000
MT per annum. ACCIL has the VISION to be a world class manufacturer of steel products and
play a pivotal role in the economic growth of the country.
Scope of project includes preparation of BOM, estimation, preparation of sequence drawing,
Panel manufacturing, assembling, testing and delivery of panels(Drive linkage cubicle-2 Nos.,
Solenoid valve cubicle-3 Nos.,OMD Console panel-3 Nos.and OSR Console panel -3 Nos.). on
Ex-works, HNC Works, Bangalore.

 Supply of SCADA software-Eagle with required mimics and reports as per standard PV
Solar Plant monitoring.
 Control logic development in selected PLC(PLC Programming)
 Preparation of wiring diagram for field instruments and PV station cabinets .

Alstom, Switzerland
Alstom, Switzerland has arrived at an agreement with NeST, Trivandrum for Manufacturing
and Integrating Control System for their Gas Turbine, as per their directions and specifications
given; the project is titled as Turboline 3000. The major scope of this work covers
 Engineering
 Hardware procurement
 Control cubicle manufacturing
 Panel assembly and wiring
 Developing application software
 Total integrated testing.
My Responsibilities:
1. System Study, Requirements Specification Review and Freezing.
2. Preparation of Project proposal, Project estimation and Project schedule.
3. Preparation of BOM and procurement Activities.
4. Preparation of process flow and QA documentation and its approval
5. Overall coordination of cubicle integration at SFO-Kochi, IAT & FAT

4. WIP-Tracker System for SFO-Technologies, Kochi
The scope of this project includes the Data collection, Data analysis, System design, System
development, Testing, System engineering and Installation and Commissioning at SFO-Kochi.
WIP Tracking System envisaged as a dedicated system to capture the different stages of PCBs
in the lines with Barcode/RFID readers. Stored these data on the server and making multiple
reports for the different levels of management.

5. Deployment of MMCS (Mill Monitoring and Control System)
The scope of the project includes design and development of SCADA System, installation and
commissioning and integration of the system at Oil Mills (in Malaysia) with interfaces like
uploading of important data from the Mills to their Head Quarter through dial-up, PDA
interfaces for raw material quality checking and weigh bridge interfaces for raw material
entry and product outgoing.

C. Previous Role (April 1988 to March 2005)
Position: Senior Technical Officer(Process Automation Group)
(System Engineering,Project Management,Interaction with Customer and Supplier)
C-DAC, Vellayambalam,Trivandrum,Kerala
(Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of
the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT,
Electronics and associated areas).
Projects:
1. Development and implementation of Scalable, Distributed Intelligent SCADA for retrofit
and it enabling of Hydel Power Plants and Implementation in Teesta Canal Fall Hydel
Project Power Stations- 2 &3(TCFHP ps-2 & ps3) for West Bengal Electricity board,
Siluguri.
The overall philosophy for system development and implementation is one of hierarchical,
distributed, intelligent, building block based SCADA with redundancy built in all levels. This
power station consists of 9MW of 6 generators.
My Responsibilities:
 Site study and finalization of signals for the SCADA systems in PS-2 &PS-3
 System design,preparation of engineering documents and get approval from the
customer.
 Finalization of BOM and wiring diagrams for Field transmitters, Junction boxes, RTU
panels, Power supply distribution and Network architecture.
 Overall supervision of Cabling and Installation.
 Design and Integration of control strategy.
 System integration, testing and commissioning at site.
 System configuration, Loop configuration, Report configuration,Alarm configuration,
HMI configuration etc.
2. Waste Immobilization Plant Control System for BARC-Bombay
The scope of this project involves design, development and implementation of Control
System for Wate immobilization plant comprising mainly of acquiring furnace data and
controlling the furnace temperature in different zones according to the set points given
through the system.Those set points are depend upon the radiation parameters given by the
process experts.

3. Water Filter Bed Automation System for Water Treatment Plant #3 ,KWA-Aluva
The project involves design, development and implementation of Filter Bed Automation
System comprising mainly of acquiring filter bed parameters and controlling flow through the
beds and advising appropriate time for manual back – wash.
My Responsibilities:
 Site study and finalization of signals.
 System design,preparation of engineering documents and get approval from the
customer.
 Finalization of BOM and wiring diagrams..
 Overall supervision of Cabling and Installation.
 Design and Integration of control strategy.
 System integration, testing and commissioning at site.

4. Development and implementation of Paper Pulp-Shade Monitoring and Control
System (Vercos) for M/S.Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd., Erode-Tamil Nadu.
Versatile Colour Sensor(VERCOS) developed by Electronics Research and Development
Centre, Thiruvananthapuram for sensing the shade(color) of pulp to produce quality paper.
The optical sensor (VERCOS), used for sensing the color, works as per the theory of reflection
of light. This sensor needs to be integrated with a control system, which can incorporate the
advanced control strategies to take care the inherent time constant and dead time of the
process.
My Responsibilities:

 Field trial of VERCOS at a paper mill
 Formulation of Control logics.
 Preparation of wiring diagram for the control system.
 System integration, testing and commissioning at M/S. Seshasayee Paper and Boards
Ltd.,Erode-Tamilnadu.

5. Programmable Governor control system(PGCS-1) for M/S. Aanveri
HydroElectricProject, Banglore and Bhivpuri Hydro Electric project, Bombay.
PGCS-1 is a Microprocessor based Programmable Governor Control System.It is an indigenous
replacement for electronic governors used in Mini/Micro hydroelectric stations. The scope of
the project includes design and development of Programmable Governor control system
,supply of PGCS-1, installation and commissioning and integration of the system with
software for achieving constant Turbine speed regulation, flow regulation, Power regulation.
6. Unified boiler control system for M/S.Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd., Erode-
Tamilnadu
The scope of the project includes design and development of advanced process control
system, components of control loops, supply of PC based control system, installation and
commissioning and integration of the system with developed unified boiler control software
for achieving constant header pressure,3 element drum level control and efficient
combustion control.

7. Optimization of Ammonium Bicarbonate plant at RCF-Bombay
The project was implemented on turn-key basis, which includes design, development and
commissioning of the Advanced Process Control System, procurement, erection and
commissioning of the system with developed optimization software for achieving higher
production and modernization of the existing Ammonium Bicarbonate plant in RCF-Bombay.

 Preparation of hook-up drawings, cable routing drawings, loop drawings, and bill of

(Manufacturing unit for producing Rayon grade pulp for Fabric).
My Responsibilities:
 Evaluate and control each process stages in Soda Recovery Plant and Causticizing Plant
by LAB results and direct process monitoring. Accordingly gave guidance to operators
for better production and smooth running of the plant.

Scope of the Projects(Project-1,2,3): Scope of work includes complete Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing at works and Supply of DDCMIS package and Mandatory Spares as per technical specifications.The DDCMIS shall be manufactured & tested as per NTPC approved quality plan and test procedure. The scope also includes commissioning assistance of Unit-1, Unit-II, Common and AMC for 3 Years. Water SCADA System for Delhi Jal Board-Pitampura Water Supply Delhi Jal Board planned to monitor/control for 7 Nos. of pumping stations at Pitampura UGR and remote monitoring of DMA/Control points from 14 locations. The scope of this project includes,Design,Development,Supply,installation and commissioning of SCADA Server, SCADA Client, Data Collection Server,RTU/PLC.   • 3. 5. Automation and Upgradation of Continuous Galvanizing Line-2 for TATA Steel Jamshedpur. Tata Steel founded India’s first industrial city, now Jamshedpur, where it established India’s first integrated steel plant in 1907. The Jamshedpur Works currently comprises of a 9.7 MTPA crude steel production facility and a variety of finishing mills. Scope of this project includes  Study of existing RIO-Panels at CGL2.  Design,Supply and commissioning support for RIO Panels(09 Nos.) at CGL2 plant in TATA Steel, Jamshedpur. My Responsibilities:  System Design and Engineering  Overall project cycle management from Inquiry to Order and support the project execution, deliverables and site support.  Preparation of Project proposal, Project estimation and Project schedule.  Customer requirement study, Data collection and finalization of User needs.  Preparation of BOM and procurement Activities.  Overall co-ordination of System Integration /Configuration/IAT/FAT and execution of the project as per customer requirement.  The Job also involves coordination with various Inter Departments, External Agencies and Vendors for smooth execution of the implementation works. 6. Supply of wired Control Panels and Operator Consoles for ACCIL-Hariyana ACCIL has one of the largest Cold Rolling Mill Complex with an installed capacity of 300000 MT per annum. ACCIL has the VISION to be a world class manufacturer of steel products and play a pivotal role in the economic growth of the country. Scope of project includes preparation of BOM, estimation, preparation of sequence drawing, Panel manufacturing, assembling, testing and delivery of panels(Drive linkage cubicle-2 Nos., Solenoid valve cubicle-3 Nos.,OMD Console panel-3 Nos.and OSR Console panel -3 Nos.). on Ex-works, HNC Works, Bangalore. My Responsibilities:  System Design and Engineering  Overall project cycle management from Inquiry to Order and support the project execution, deliverables and site support.  Preparation of Project proposal, Project estimation and Project schedule.

Engineering and Hardware integration of Gas Turbine Control System (GTCS) for Alstom, Switzerland Alstom, Switzerland has arrived at an agreement with NeST, Trivandrum for Manufacturing and Integrating Control System for their Gas Turbine, as per their directions and specifications given; the project is titled as Turboline 3000. The major scope of this work covers  Engineering  Hardware procurement  Control cubicle manufacturing  Panel assembly and wiring  Developing application software  Total integrated testing. My Responsibilities: 1. System Study, Requirements Specification Review and Freezing. 2. Preparation of Project proposal, Project estimation and Project schedule. 3. Preparation of BOM and procurement Activities. 4. Preparation of process flow and QA documentation and its approval 5. Overall coordination of cubicle integration at SFO-Kochi, IAT & FAT 6. The Job also involves coordination with various inter departments, External Agencies and Vendors for smooth execution of the project.

WIP-Tracker System for SFO-Technologies, Kochi The scope of this project includes the Data collection, Data analysis, System design, System development, Testing, System engineering and Installation and Commissioning at SFO-Kochi. WIP Tracking System envisaged as a dedicated system to capture the different stages of PCBs in the lines with Barcode/RFID readers. Stored these data on the server and making multiple reports for the different levels of management. Deployment of MMCS (Mill Monitoring and Control System) The scope of the project includes design and development of SCADA System, installation and commissioning and integration of the system at Oil Mills (in Malaysia) with interfaces like uploading of important data from the Mills to their Head Quarter through dial-up, PDA interfaces for raw material quality checking and weigh bridge interfaces for raw material entry and product outgoing. Previous Role (April 1988 to March 2005) Position: Senior Technical Officer(Process Automation Group) (System Engineering,Project Management,Interaction with Customer and Supplier) C-DAC, Vellayambalam,Trivandrum,Kerala (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas). Projects: 1. Development and implementation of Scalable, Distributed Intelligent SCADA for retrofit and it enabling of Hydel Power Plants and Implementation in Teesta Canal Fall Hydel Project Power Stations- 2 &3(TCFHP ps-2 & ps3) for West Bengal Electricity board, Siluguri. The overall philosophy for system development and implementation is one of hierarchical, distributed, intelligent, building block based SCADA with redundancy built in all levels. This power station consists of 9MW of 6 generators. Waste Immobilization Plant Control System for BARC-Bombay The scope of this project involves design, development and implementation of Control System for Wate immobilization plant comprising mainly of acquiring furnace data and controlling the furnace temperature in different zones according to the set points given through the system.Those set points are depend upon the radiation parameters given by the process experts.

Development and implementation of Paper Pulp-Shade Monitoring and Control System (Vercos) for M/S.Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd., Erode-Tamil Nadu. Versatile Colour Sensor(VERCOS) developed by Electronics Research and Development Centre, Thiruvananthapuram for sensing the shade(color) of pulp to produce quality paper. The optical sensor (VERCOS), used for sensing the color, works as per the theory of reflection of light. This sensor needs to be integrated with a control system, which can incorporate the advanced control strategies to take care the inherent time constant and dead time of the process.

Programmable Governor control system(PGCS-1) for M/S. Aanveri HydroElectricProject, Banglore and Bhivpuri Hydro Electric project, Bombay. PGCS-1 is a Microprocessor based Programmable Governor Control System.It is an indigenous replacement for electronic governors used in Mini/Micro hydroelectric stations. The scope of the project includes design and development of Programmable Governor control system ,supply of PGCS-1, installation and commissioning and integration of the system with software for achieving constant Turbine speed regulation, flow regulation, Power regulation. 6. Unified boiler control system for M/S.Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd., Erode- Tamilnadu The scope of the project includes design and development of advanced process control system, components of control loops, supply of PC based control system, installation and commissioning and integration of the system with developed unified boiler control software for achieving constant header pressure,3 element drum level control and efficient combustion control. Optimization of Ammonium Bicarbonate plant at RCF-Bombay The project was implemented on turn-key basis, which includes design, development and commissioning of the Advanced Process Control System, procurement, erection and commissioning of the system with developed optimization software for achieving higher production and modernization of the existing Ammonium Bicarbonate plant in RCF-Bombay. Previous Role (August 1979 to October 1982) Position: Shift-in-Charge (Development and pilot plant production of materials for Electronic Components) M/S.Gwalior Rayons,Pulp Division,Mavoor,Kozhikode,Kerala (Manufacturing unit for producing Rayon grade pulp for Fabric). My Responsibilities:  Evaluate and control each process stages in Soda Recovery Plant and Causticizing Plant by LAB results and direct process monitoring. Accordingly gave guidance to operators for better production and smooth running of the plant.  Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics maintenance was carried out by the concerned departments.  Lead a team of 40 workers for controlling the plant, trouble free and economical.
