Technology is power. Power comes with
responsibility. We have to ensure that our choices,
actions, and usage of technological tools are
positive. Teachers need to consider ethical
concerns for the development of the learners.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITES
Teaching is about building relationships.
Technology can be a social environment in which
learners and teachers interact, share experiences,
and engage in active and productive learning.
LEGAL RESPONSIBILITES
Teachers need to consider the policies and
procedures of using technology. As technology
becomes more prevalent, users are prone to
encounter acts that violate the legal issues
surrounding information retrieval and
dissemination online.
HOW?
Use technology to motivate, guide, and prepare students in the social environment
Integrate technological resources to allow and empower learners of all
backgrounds or levels, ethnicities, characteristics, and capabilities.
Ensure that technology is diverse and accessible to all students.
Educate learners on various social platforms where they can use information.
HOW?
Assist learners in knowing the positive and negative utilization, application, and
consequences of technology
Integrate the safe, protected, and healthy use of technology in teaching and
learning
Promote a positive image online by making use of the netiquette
HOW?
Be aware of and educate others on the laws surrounding technology on copyright,
fair use, plagiarism and cyberbullying.
Use protected, safe, and legal tools and resources
Be considerate and mindful in using and teaching technology to ensure ethical
practice
