4. Development Objective
“To help reduce poverty in the rural areas and
promote conservation of natural resources
through the development of sustainable, high
quality, MOAF systems.”
5. Immediate objective 1
To develop sustainable, MOAF systems for
increased production and sale of wood and other
agroforestry (AF) products
Output 1. Forest gardens are established and home gardens
developed
Output 2. Village nurseries are established and producing high
quality seedlings
Output 3. Farmers trained on AF principles, technologies, and
strategies
Output 4. Extension staff familiar with participatory extension
approaches and are providing adequate and timely
extension services to farmers

To help farmers
develop AF-based enterprises and improve
marketing of AF products
Output 5. Cam Ha Cooperative and other farmer marketing groups
are organized and engaged in business
Output 6. Feasible rural enterprises and other livelihood
opportunities established/strengthened
Output 7. Market Research Information System (MRIS) developed
at DARD

To improve farmers' access to capital through
microfinance and other credit programs

Specific objectives
• Improve and/or develop 1,500 ha of market-driven
gardens
• Strengthen enterprise-oriented coops and groups
• Pilot viable micro-finance with groups
• Strengthen extension system
• Develop market research information system
