  • 2. • Pillar1: Promote sustainable management of soil resources for soil protection, conservation and sustainable productivity. • Pillar 2: Encourage investment, technical cooperation, policy, education awareness and extension in soil • Pillar 3: Promote targeted soil research and development focusing identify gaps, properties and synergies with related productive, environmental and social development actions. • Pillar 4: Enhance the quantity and quality of soil data and information: data collection (generation), analysis, validation, reporting, monitoring and integration with other disciplines
  • 3.  4.5 million ha of total land area of 23,680,000 ha are determine for cultivation (19%t).  Rice cultivation area is 2.0 million ha  Other crops area is 1.8 million ha  Pasture grass area is about 0.7 million ha
