2. Proposal
• In this pitch I will showcase my idea for a North London based music
magazine.
• The magazine will feature artists from the genre of Hip Hop and will
give an insight into their lives and the music they create. The
magazine will also feature interviews and Q & A’s to keep up to date
with the artists life.
• The magazine will feature a range of artists that are in the genre and
will therefore reach out to a wider audience, the target audience for
my magazine will be white males age 16-21 class A C1.
3. Form
• The client has asked for two different copies of the magazine. One of
the copies should be a print based copy which will be a physical copy
of the magazine, and the other a digital copy which can be viewed
online.
• The magazine will be A4 an will be about 80-100 pages long, the
paper itself will be recyclable so it’s environmentally friendly.
• The magazine issues will come out weekly and will need a
subscription to be issued.
4. Genre
• The genre of my magazine is Hip Hop. I’ve chosen this genre because
it reaches out to a larger audience than other genres because it has
lots of sub-genres e.g. alternative Hip Hop, Battle rap, Conscious rap
etc. This means that more people will be interested in the magazine
and this will attract more subscribers.
5. Content
• The content for my magazine will be that of Hip Hop artists an will
feature a wide variety of them. The artists will be interviewed and
questions sent in by the readers will be asked along with other
questions.
• Each page will feature a different artist and some pages will be
dedicated to venues that artists are performing at songs that have
been released thus far.
