My Music video’s evaluation question 1 How my music video challenges forms and conventions of real products. Our video is not a sterotypical video of... Women eye candy male gaze Bunch of rapper surrounded by women No big cars  No big ego about money and wealth
Llyod banks- beamer benz or bentley The title of this track suggest it about cars money and big brands Lloyd banks surrounded by women our video doesn't have this. Lloyd banks still wants to be centre of attention ( in red) women appear to be sexually provocative in their costumes. Women jus appear as eye candy and sexual objects nothing more. Other representations of this music video are also very sterotypical.
Llyod banks- beamer benz or bentley Base ball cap Earring Glasses  Chains Watches Jewellery  Tattoos  Women acting provocatively stroking his shoulder trying to get intimate  Men in control All very stereotypical

Snoppdogg ft pharell beautiful Objectification of women. Men like what they see on the outside. There clothing show this.
Snoppdogg ft pharell beautiful Cars guys watching girls going passed just gazing at them

Conclusion challenge  These videos are relative to hip hop as all these artist are well known. Their video adhere to typical attitudes expected from hip hop. Our video challenge these forms as this video doesn’t show this stereotypical view of hip hop. This is mainly how our video challenges normal expected conventions. In comparisons to our video. Andrew good win talked about music videos as a form which is very significant as the media institutions can play a big role in what is expected from their artist in videos. In effect artist can build an image of themselves e.gjayz symbols. These video do have a strong relationship with lyrics and visuals. Although this is not present with llyod banks so much as he doesn’t mention women in any sence within the track but they are there in the video. Feminism can be linked here as society in the hip hop industry is patriarchal. Men dominate this industry and are in very much control. Women are seen to be inferior in these videos not much power at all the man is always in charge. Women must act promiscuous. Jus sex objects which is heavily related to the male gaze by lauramavley. There is a voyeuristic treatment of women in these video dancers are used to help male ego llyod banks video shows this. Our video didn't act this simplistic minded view of hip hop video. This is how our video challenged these forms and conventions. The only aspect that may develop these forms is that 50cent and snoppdogg video do have a slight narrative and does have performance based element. We also used location shot jus as these videos did e.g the mansion in 50 cent video and the location shots in the snoppdogg video of brazil these are slight developments we used.
