2. To start off creating my contents I added the logo, title and
image of the front cover following the design of my layout.
The title is keeping to the same fonts used on the front cover
which is ‘Bebas Neue’. Sticks to the colour scheme using
red and yellow.
I then added the photos I am using on my
contents page, and added the page
numbers, and for the main image (the band
featured on the front cover and the double
page spread) I've added a title and contents
information for the double page spread.
Used Red for the numbers and black for
writing.
Fonts: Bebas Neue & Times New Roman.

3. I added the extra section for the contents at
the bottom of the page, I did this by using
the rectangle tool on Photoshop. I stuck to
the colour scheme by using the masthead
and the yellow strip and the grey
background which was used on the front
cover.
I added the contents information to
the right of the page, following my
layout design.

I’ve kept to the colour scheme
using yellow for the banners, black
for the writing, and red for the page
numbers.

from DaFont.com.
• The font used for the information
section is Times New Roman.
I’ve used bands and artists such as
Arcade Fire, Vampire weekend and
Ed Sheeran as they fit into the
alternative/Indie genre.
4. I added a photo to the extra section on my
contents page, I also added a extract from
an article which links to the photo. I
decided to take this idea from NME when it
has a article on the contents page.
The font used for the article is Myriad Pro.
I’ve used red to hi-light the important areas
such as the page number to where the rest
of the article is on.
Whilst creating the contents page I
changed the colour of the contents
title, I did this because I didn’t like the
contrast between the red and yellow, I
decided on using black as it looked
better in front of the yellow. I decided I
would use these two colours combined
for the contents sub headings.
5. UTM rising star: This
section features a new
talent every issue and
includes a extract from
the page it is on.
