2. I think the audience for my film would be
both males and females aged 15 and over.
This is because most action films are
typically associated with teenagers, and
young adults, especially men. This is because,
a lot of action films contain different aspects
of action that immediately suggest the genre
of the film. These are shown in my film
through the use of the gun and the fighting.
So therefore, because they appear superior
and stronger over other men, the male
audience would admire these men and see
them as dominant and powerful figures.
3. I also think females would be a suitable audience for my film
because, I have included the idea of family, which is represented
by the photograph of the two girls. This is an emotional part of
the film, which could make the female audience empathise
towards the main character, especially with his facial expressions
which show his desperation and emotional state. As I have taken
my inspiration from Skyfall, the female agent Eve, is shown as a
field agent alongside James Bond. This goes agent the
stereotypical of female representation in an action film series
such as James Bond, as the females are shown as flirtatious and
playful. So for the full film I would have a dominant female
character as a powerful figure within the plot, which therefore
challenges the typical genre conventions of an action film.
4. The reason why I have suggested the age of 15 and over, is because there are
aspects in the film such as the gun and the fighting, this could be a bad
influence on younger audiences, and could encourage violence.
Another reason for this is that, the age of the characters are shown as early 20’s.
So this means that audience members of this age are more likely to relate,
compared to those aged older or younger and are therefore, less likely to relate.
I have also recommended this age because, I have seen that the people who
answered my questionnaire were aged 15 and above.
