2. Synopsis of main ideas
For my magazine name I chose ‘Chatterbox’ simply because it is a real-life magazine. I also felt it
would appeal to the target audience as the mode of address is the same language used by them,
informative but informal.
From analyzing multiple magazines, I found that most real-life magazines are either aimed at
either females or males, there isn’t a many that bring this together to have one for all to share.
Therefore I want to try and make it a magazine and website that will appeal to everyone in the
age bracket.
Within my website I want to make it as interactive as possible as from previous website analysis I
found that those with less interaction were the ones that people didn’t spend as much time on.
The website will act as a follow up from the magazine but also providing extra stories and
information for the reader.
3. Representations
Issue One:
Within issue one the group I will be
representing is gender. This will be through
showing anti-stereotypes and basically
showing how it is okay not to fit into a certain
mould. Upon research into the TA I found
many magazines focused on this idea which
is why I know this will appeal to them.
Issue Two-
Within my second issue I want to try and
create the representation of class. This will
be done through my model showing how
they have become a successful business
owner from previously struggling financially.
4. Appealing to Target Audience
These types of magazines are aimed at the
same target audience, the main image being
a popular celebrity attracts the readers. The
complimentary colour palette also us visually
appealing for the reader.
