1: An establishing shot of the main protagonist’s surroundings. This is the
everyday view she sees when leaving her house.

2: A medium shot showing the protagonist Mia on the phone in her bedroom.

3. The Production Company title appears on screen. ’Skyline Productions’
Next frame follows
4. The Distribution Company logo appears on screen. ‘StudioCanal’

5. A close up of her mother in the living room with a bottle of wine. She
is watching T.V in the day.

6. The caption ‘Best British Newcomer BFI London Film Festival’ appears on
screen. This is an award the film has received.

7. A long shot of Mia walking down a street. There is a shot reverse shot
of her meeting up with her friends. A close up with dialogue followed by a
long shot of her friends to a medium shot of her walking away.

8. A medium shot of Mia’s stepfather holding a baby. The camera captures
him looking happy.

9. A point of view shot of the step-father looking at the mother. She is
holding a bottle in her hands whilst sat on the sofa.

10. There is an argument between Mia and her friends. This is a medium
shot. Mia loses her friends and walks away.
Friend 1:
You’re never here
Friend 2:
You always get what you want, thinking about yourself. Selfish.
Mia:
That’s not me, that’s my step-father.

onscreen. This is a review from a magazine.

13. A long shot tracking Mia on a different day. She is walking on her own,
past a gang of people.

14. There is an over the shoulder shot of the gang inviting her to join.
Gang Member 1:
Hey! You look lost, come sit with us

16. A long shot of the gang sitting in an abandoned place. They are taking
drugs and alcohol but she is not taking anything. They are all in
conversation, muttering and mumbling to one another.

18. A medium shot of a gang member offering her something.

20. A faded in point of view shot from Mia’s point of view. She is at the
back of the group who are walking through a field. From her view you can
see the road.

21. A long shot on the opposite side of the road showing the characters
coming out of the field.

22. A close up on Mia’s phone as she pulls it out of her pocket to see it
is her mum calling her.

23. A medium shot of Mia turning around and declining the call. Meanwhile,
the background shows the rest of the gang have crossed the road without
her.

Mia:

28. The screen goes black as a screeching noise is made. This is to imply a
car has to break fiercely.

will then fade out into the production credits which will include the main
casts’ names, director and other production crew, then the main credits
will roll.
