Ashfield Pharmacovigilance – Operations Manager May 2012 to current
Oversee operations for 5 projects, including animal health, postmarketing and clinical pharmacovigilance.
Responsible for maintaining case processing volume and quality as well as ensuring that resourcing is
adequate for each project.
Interviewing and hiring staff for the entire operations department, onboarding new employees, developing
training plans, coordinating setup of workspace and equipment, ensuring that they are adequately trained
and ready when they enter workflow.
Personnel management of 14 direct reports. Includes coaching and mentoring, providing regular feedback on
quality and case processing metrics, holding monthly one on one meetings to help develop personal and

Wrote, developed and implemented the APV Introduction to Animal Health PV instructor led training
module.
Ensuring that client initiated changes in case processing are communicated to the team and are implemented
quickly and effectively. This includes the acquisition of several new drugs and vaccines, and reporting to
additional agencies.
Help to launch and manage APV’s first call center team, which functions both as a low volume call center and
full case processing team. Setting up all training and equipment needed for medical information, adverse
event, and product complaint call intake.
Performing quality control and oversight for the team and tracking quality data as well as designing and
implementing corrective actions in case of a deviation.
Started as a case manager, tasked with creating and submitting adverse event reports to several regulatory
agencies. Requires a working knowledge of pharmacology, the laws and regulations governing human and
veterinary drugs and use of these medications in humans, companion animals and production animals.
Colony Park Animal Hospital – Staff Supervisor, RVT September 2005 to May 2012
Started as a veterinary assistant, and became a Registered Technician before being promoted to staff
supervisor overseeing the vet assistants, technicians, and kennel staff.
As staff supervisor, responsible for hiring; handlingdisciplinary issues; holding monthly meetings for both
educational and administrative purposes; overseeing DEA, OSHA and AAHA compliance; training new staff;
and scheduling.

In charge of maintenance, repair and quality control of laboratory equipment, anesthesia machines, surgical
supplies, and x-ray machine, among others.
As a technician, responsible for the induction and safe maintenance of anesthesia for surgical patients;
cleaning and polishing teeth; taking medical histories and updating patient records; placing IV and urinary
catheters; administering medications; cleaning, maintaining and sterilizing surgical and dental equipment
and instruments; patient restraint; taking radiographs, including dental x-rays; and performing laboratory
tests, including serum chemistry and CBC, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal floatation.
Duke University – Laboratory Technician 2006
Worked in the Maternal Fetal Medicine lab on a study of anesthetic safety. Responsible for the care of sheep
used in the study.
Prepared sheep for surgery, ran blood gasses, administered pain medication and antibiotics, ran monitoring
equipment and gathered study data, helped induce anesthesia for surgical procedures, cleaned and sterilized
lab equipment, assisted in euthanasia and necropsy of laboratory animals.
Academy Veterinary Hospital – Veterinary Assistant, Office Manager January 2005 to September 2005
Restrained patients, cleaned and maintained the hospital grounds and equipment, administered medications
and vaccines, fed and cared for hospitalized and boarding patients, monitored anesthetized and sedated
patients, obtained blood samples and ran basic lab tests.
Responsible for tracking inventory and ordering medication and supplies.
Wrote staff schedules, placed ads and hired new staff.
