Sing street is a romantic musical. The film is set in Ireland, Dublin and it is
about a school boy who has started a new school and was finding it hard
to fit in. He then says he has a band to impress a girl which gives him the
idea of starting a band and making friends.
Genre- Romantic,Comedy,musical
1. Intro-We havea band,trying to impress a girl, making new friends.
2. Act1- Band is formed, first video with the girl, writing songs.
3. Act2- Makingthe band work, different types of songs, the bands look
and style.
4. Act3- Familyissues,parents split up,the girl he loves has left with
someone else, the concert comes together.
5. Coda…awaywe go.
Beginning:Connoris bullied at school.He is not happywith life at home.
Middle:Startingto fit more into school,making friends and band and finding
himself(different fazes)
Ending:He Is happier with himself,the girl he loves appears to see him, he is
finallyfittingin at school.He decides that he should leaveDublin with his girl
and startinga new life in London.
Purpose:
The purpose ofSing Street is to advertise the musical and to make money.It
is also giving the actors a career.
Audience:
I believeteenagers and adults will watch this film. I also believethat
teenagers will be able to relate to the film. Anyone who like music and
drama.

camera angles to represent the different characters that are in the school.
Also, the teacher is represented as the boss as he is up in the school while all
his students are beingbad.
Drive it like you stole it:
Diagetic song as the band is playingit. However, it is a fantasyscene in a real
hall,in the fantasyscene their clothes changed and everyone gets along- in
realitythey don’t.
Editing- no real rhythm, just invisible editingofthe band and the crowd.
There is a shot/ reverse of Connorlookingat the doorhopingthe girl will
arrive.
