Evaluation question 2
1. How does our media product represent
particular social groups?
G321 EVALUATION PART II
2. Age and characteristics have a lot to say with who is the target audience.
The characters in our thriller film are all teenagers, and therefore the thriller
opening may appeal to young people, more specifically between the ages of
15-25.
TARGET AUDIENCE
4. The characters in our film are not only British. Nature is American, and
therefore her character can appeal to American audiences. Anna on the other
hand, is Norwegian, and can therefore her appearance in the film will make
room for the Scandinavian audience. When it comes to Scandinavians,
especially Norwegians, seeing actors from Scandinavia in film productions that
are of other nationality than Scandinavian countries, will create buzz in the
media. Norway is a poorly populated country which have very few
international actors, so it is always a “big deal” to have actors or characters
from the country in international productions.
NATIONALITY
5. In addition to her looks, Nature may appeal to young audiences as she is a
character that is easy to sympathise with. She is outgoing, calm and also shows
kindness towards others even though she does not know them that well.
The characters are all young adults, so their life and social situations may be
generalizable to young people.
