In 1994, the company bought a small magazine called For Him
Magazine which is now the core of the best-selling international
multi-platform brand FHM.

Bauer has a wide range of magazines that all vary on topic and
target audience making them appeal to a wide range of consumers
therefore advertising their other magazines to a wide range of

The blue line represents the amount of magazines in circulation.
The red line represents the amount of people that read the circulated magazines.
The red line is higher than the blue line because in a house hold more than one person may read the magazine purchased.
There is a strong negative coloration of print based media declining through the years. This caused the amount of magazines in
circulation to decline. This could be due to the uprising of technology and digital media making magazines being accessible on
phones or computers making the print based magazine’s sales deplete.

The red and blue line are crossing as in some months there were more magazines in circulation than there were sold.
There is an overall negative correlation as the rise of technology is effecting the media driving less people to buy print
based products.

The official media website 30,000,00 spending collectively over 287,000,000 minutes spent on the website.
This shows that people are using digital media in vast amounts, thus causing a decline in the sales of print based media

Spin magazine is now published as a webzine, I have included this to show the uprising of digital media and the decline
of print based media as technology advances

These statistics suggest that he readers of NME are mostly young males that are in full time
work. This is the target audience I am looking to appeal to with my magazine.

These statistics show that the readers of Q magazine are predominantly males with an average age of
29 this is a target audience I would like to reach with my magazine, this makes BAUER MEDIA a good
candidate for the publisher of my magazine

magazine is Bauer media as their vast range of magazines
would get my magazine advertised to a wide range of people.

and making them a national success e.g. FHM

The red line is higher than the blue line because in a house hold more than one person may read the magazine purchased. There is a strong negative coloration of print based media declining through the years. This caused the amount of magazines in circulation to decline. This could be due to the uprising of technology and digital media making magazines being accessible on phones or computers making the print based magazine’s sales deplete.

The red and blue line are crossing as in some months there were more magazines in circulation than there were sold. There is an overall negative correlation as the rise of technology is effecting the media driving less people to buy print based products.

The official media website 30,000,00 spending collectively over 287,000,000 minutes spent on the website. This shows that people are using digital media in vast amounts, thus causing a decline in the sales of print based media Spin magazine is now published as a webzine, I have included this to show the uprising of digital media and the decline of print based media as technology advances
  • 11. NME (IPC MEDIA) These statistics suggest that he readers of NME are mostly young males that are in full time work. This is the target audience I am looking to appeal to with my magazine.
  • 12. Q (BAUER MEDIA) These statistics show that the readers of Q magazine are predominantly males with an average age of 29 this is a target audience I would like to reach with my magazine, this makes BAUER MEDIA a good candidate for the publisher of my magazine
