In AS, I createda college magazine andamusicmagazine. In A2, we are creatinga film
traileranda filmposter.Inthese twoyears,Ihave developedmycreativityandskillsbyusingthe
digital technologymore.
WhenI createdthe college magazine asthe preliminarytask,IwasusingPhotoshopasI
neededtoremove the greenscreenfromthe photosanditiseasyto layoutthe magazine.Atthis
part of the year,I didn’thave muchexperience inusingPhotoshopsoI wasn’tsure how to use it and
whatyou coulddo withit. It wasalsomy firsttime takingphotoswitha greenscreen. Ididn’tknow
whattypesof articlesacollege magazine wouldinclude andwhattheylookedlike asIhad never
seenone before sousing the internet,IlookedatGoogle imagesandthishelpedme toknow what
headlinestouse forthe college magazine andhow tolay itout. We neededtodo a textual analysis
afterlookingatcollege magazine coversonthe internetsowe knew whattodo in orderto produce
a good college magazine.
Whendoinga musicmagazine Ihad to use Photoshopagainandmy skillshadimproved
because Iknewwhattoolsto use and I discoveredothertoolsthatIdidn’tknow aboutwhenIwas
doingthe college magazine.Forthe audience research,Iaskedfriendswhattheythoughtabout
musicmagazinesof the genre thatI decidedtomake and theyhelpedme decidehow the magazine
couldreflectthe genre of music.Iscreenshottedthe textsandpresentedthe picturesasa slideshow
on the blog.I thinkthatmy creativityhasimprovedwiththe audience researchbecause there are
otherwaysthat the audience researchcouldhave beenfound,forexample,vox popsandsurveys. I
createda moodboard to showthe genre of music beingrepresentedandforthisI usedMicrosoft
Word but the moodboard couldhave beenmore creative byusingPhotoshoptochange the
background.
To create the FilmPosterwe didhorrorstyle makeupandtookpicturesof the personwith
the horror makeupon.Whenwe took pictures,we didn’tuse alotof lightingashorror usuallyhas
low- keylightingandwhentakingthe photosthe model diddifferenthorrorposesandthe person
usingthe camera tookpicturesat differentanglesandshots.Forthe filmtrailer,I didsome research
on the horror genre andhow we coulduse thisknowledgeinourtrailer.IthinkthatI presentedthe
informationcreativelyasIuseda lotof imageswhenshowing differentexamplesof filmsindifferent
genreshoweverIcouldhave used differentprogramstopresentinformationinsteadof justusing
MicrosoftWord. Furthermore,Imade a storyboardandan animaticto show our ideasof whatshots
we were goingto use andwhat wouldhappeninthe trailer.Imade the animaticusingFinal Cut Pro
as thisprogram iseasyto use whenediting.Iaddedhorrorsoundsthatfittedtothe rightshotsand
triedto cut the animaticso thatit was like the durationof the trailer.
