Work Experience
Self-employed industrial freezer construction engineer - April 2012 to Present
The job involves working all over Europe for long periods of time, liaising with contractors for
ordering materials, other sub-contractors and time restraints. The job consists of welding and
fabricating, construction of large steel structures involving the use of large lifting equipment,
general engineering in the mechanics of the machine along with other duties.
2. Self-employed site supervisor - Nov 2010 to Present
Helping in the running of number of projects, for a family business, in commercial and domestic
construction sites, including projects costing up to 1.2 million. The job consists of managing sub-
contractors, procurement and sourcing of material, construction and management of working
schedules and labour distribution and all health and safety aspects on sight. I also get in manual
work when required.
Work Experience, Australia - Various employment - Dec 2009 to Nov 2010
Machine/process operator - For a land drainage company, operating a variety of machinery &
equipment in the processes involved.
Harvesting & production operative - On a banana plantation in an industrial packaging shed as
part of the production line, also in the harvest fields.
Station hand - On a cattle station, performing duties such as general maintenance and cattle work
including calving and stock transportation.

2010
General farm maintenance including plant operations and involvement in all aspects of farm work
both arable and cattle. I worked independently and was in control of my own job management.
Store supervisor for Caister Carpets and Flooring- Feb 2008 to May 2008
My position involved supervising all aspects of the daily running of a carpet retailer. My main
duties included coordinating sales, purchasing, administration and personnel management. I
worked with a team of three people working within the store as well as scheduling up to ten
contracted fitters at any one time.

I earned a position which allowed me to take part in a management training scheme which
involved working within many different aspects of the company with emphasis on development
and training. I gained many skills involving my forklift licence, stock control, face to face sales,
telesales, administration, procurement, operating a complex computer system. During my
employment I developed knowledge of the running of a business and developed a managerial
way of thinking.
