Personalstatement
I am looking for an apprenticeship in a Motor vehicle / Engineering environment to
build upon my keen interest and to start a career as a motor vehicle mechanic. I am
an enthusiastic, hardworking individual and I have recently completed a Level 2
Performing Engineering Operations course which compliments my Level 1 & 2 IMI
Motor Vehicle Studies college course, all have been completed to a very high
standard.
I am always looking to develop my skills further and all of my work is carried out with
pride and integrity to a very high standard. My excellent communication skills allow
me to work effectively as part of a team, with these skills I believe that I would be a
valuable member of your team and company.

Tyre Fitter (unpaid work experience)
Barmer Tyres - ASDA, Chandlers Ford
(4 Weeks - April 2013)
As part of my college training I was given the opportunity to do a 4-week placement
as a tyre fitter, working as part of a team of 5 to check, change and balance tyres.
Duties included:
 Checking Tyres for punctures, and repairing any identified.
 Tyre Changes
 Pressurisation to manufacturer’s specifications.
 Wheel alignment and tracking

For my School work experience, I worked at Ampfield golf club, assisting members

The work mainly consisted of manually sorting all inward mail going to Southampton
and its local area. On several occasions myself and several colleges were tasked to
move cages that held all of the sorted mail that where going out to different parts of
the UK.

Hobbies & Interests
I help out at 1st Chandlers Ford Cub Scout Pack on a regular basis; support the
Leaders in undertaking activities for the young people. I am an avid cyclist cycling
as much as I can, including to and from college on a regular basis, I also enjoy
archery however I am not able to participate as much as I would like.
At St Francis Church I work as a Youth Helper, supporting the other Youth worker
with activities that are being carried out.
