Work experience
Stadium PLC – Process Operator/Material Handler (May 1997-July 2001)
During my time at Stadium it was my duty to work as a part of a team to produce plastic
components for cars and I had to use various machinery and fill the machines with plastic
granules. From working here I achieved my NVQ Level 2 in Process Operating.
Pearts – Machine Process Operator (August 2001 – January 2004)
As a machine process operator at Pearts, it was my responsibility to produce metal plates
(fencing), I also had the duty of tool changing and forklift driving and I then went on to
progress and achieved a supervisor role.
DSL – NVQ Level 2 Scaffolder (January 2004 – October 2014)
Rainhams – (TUPE over from DSL) (October 2014 – Present)
My current occupation is a qualified NVQ Level 2 Scaffolder, throughout my ten year career
in Scaffolding I have worked on numerous chemical plants including: Growhow Billingham;
Johnson Matthey Billingham; Petroplus; Green Energy; and Vopak. During my experience
here I have received Asbestos Awareness training; Manual handling training and I have also
done numerous internals inside vessels and storage tanks and I have also received my
Confined Space training. During my time here I have also been involved in many shut downs
2. with the company; I have also accepted permits on Vopak in Hartlepool and I have also
helped run a pipeline project.
Interests and achievements
In my spare time I enjoy going for walks; gardening and football. I have many achievements
that I am proud of throughout my various careers including all the training courses that I have
passed throughout which have helped me progress in my careers including my Asbestos
Awareness training and Manual Handling training to name a few.
Skills
I am very hardworking and confident in what I do, I am good at working in a team and I am a
good effective communicator but I can also work using my own initiative. I am a quick
learner; I am also keen to learn and I am always motivated.
