Rig Asset Manager – Ensco 8506: Primary responsibility is managing the deep water semisubmersible as a complete asset and
all personnel required to maintain the mobile offshore drilling unit. Other responsibilities include:
Planned budget for annual projects, in between well maintenance, and preventive maintenance activities
Developed engineering requests for rig modifications and overseeing completion of modifications and upgrades
Created AFE’s for project cost and monitored expenditures annually
Through observation, records, and inspections, ensures that all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems meet
regulatory and Operational Drilling requirements
Ensures all maintenance is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures, equipment manufacturer’s
recommendations, the Rig Operating Manual, and regulatory requirements and codes
Monitors repairs and rebuilds to ensure they are performed properly, safely, and economically
Oversees modifications to the equipment and structure; ensures modifications of the rig and new equipment are approved
according to company policies and procedures before operation
Maintains updated rig drawings, manuals, and other pertinent literature needed for maintenance purposes.
Performs troubleshooting and repair of equipment, directly or through subordinates
Initiates analysis and identifies the root causes of failures on rig equipment and systems

Managed the maintenance for a fleet of 20 Jack-up rigs in the Northern US GOM and Mexico
Working with project team in implementing a new maintenance management program through SAP
Asset Management to insure that the rigs have available to them the known good spare parts needed to keep the rigs
running to their peak performance
Work with supply chain to insure that we have the sources through our vendors to supply the rigs with proper materials and
service personnel when needed to keep the rigs running
Critique training facilities with the aid of subordinates to insure that we have proper training for our rig based maintenance
crews
Work closely with the rig crews to insure they have materials and expertise needed to keep the rigs operating on a daily
basis
Attend operations meeting every morning and insure that the Rig Managers have my full assistance in the day to day
operations and performing tasks as needed to keep the rigs running as needed
Attend the Marketing Meetings, that allowed me to plan for Modifications and or repairs that may need to be performed so
as not to hold up the rigs obligations to the client, and limit downtime at a later time when the rig is working
Attended all of the Safety Leadership Training meetings and contributed input to the rig crews and their supervisors that
could help eliminate incidents
