Support
Managed Maintenance, Operations, and Logistics budgets in excess of $6.7M. Responsible for
over 2300 line items of support equipment, tools and test sets worth $43.6M. Oversaw manpower
management of three Navy squadrons,an Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department on
board an aircraft carrier, and the MQ-8B CLS contract at Pt. Mugu. Directed testing and
evaluation of technical data and instructions and provided feedback to the Fleet Support Team for
new Technical Directives such as Airframes Changes, Airframes Bulletins and Avionics Changes.

Directed as many as 317 personnel performing scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, logistics, and
quality assurance on aircraft, avionics, power plants and support equipment. Qualified as
Assistant Command Duty Officer, Anti Terrorism Tactical Watch Officer, Officer of the Deck,
Weight and Balance Officer, and HAZMAT coordinator. Performed the duties of Maintenance
Officer, Assistant Maintenance Officer, Maintenance Material Control Officer, Manpower
Management Officer, Support Equipment Training and Licensing Officer, Quality Assurance
Officer, Avionics/Armament Division Officer, General Maintenance and Power Plants Division
Officer, Training Officer, Command Managed Equal Opportunity Officer, and CLS Maintenance
Manager. Efforts most recently resulted in the creation of the MQ-8B VTUAV Pt. Mugu, CLS
operation.
Problem
Solving
Planned and executed a homeport change for an aircraft carrier from Norfolk, VA to San Diego,
CA. Efforts ensured no loss of qualifications, efficiency or manning levels. Developed and
instituted a scheduled maintenance plan that ensured a squadron manned for 23 aircraft,
maintained 34 and still met a demanding six to eight aircraft flight schedule daily. Well versed the
Defense Contract Maintenance Authority's Contractor's Flight and Ground Operations instruction
8210.1C and the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program, which ensured the proper construction of
Ground Operation Procedures for VTUAV MQ-8B Pt. Mugu CLS.

-Stood up the VTUAV MQ-8B Pt. Mugu Maintenance Contractor Logistics Support from nothing with few resources.
-Researched, edited and authored 42 Ground Operation Procedures ensuring maintenance personnelhad guidelines that complied with
the Contract, Statement of Work, DCMA INST 8210.1C, OSHA (Standards - 29 CFR) and applicable Navy service publications.
-Liaison between Northrop Grumman and Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) for the installation and activation of 14 NMCI
assets and ports in a refurbished Navy owned hangar.
-Supervised the receipt and acceptance of all Support Equipment, Individual Material Readiness List line items, tools and the first
MQ-8B Air Vehicle in Pt. Mugu.
-Managed the acceptance inspection of a one of a kind hybrid Mission Control Station and supervised the construction of a logbook
for the station.

-Ensured properly trained personnel were available on demand to support Functional Check Flights by HSM-35 which resulted in the
first MQ-8B flight at Pt. Mugu.
-Interviewed and hired both Northrop Grumman direct employees and contractors.

-Directed a department manned to support 23 MH-60R helicopters but actually maintaining 34, meeting 100% maintenance, training
and production goals.
-Ensured maintenance training and logistics support for five squadrons transitioning from the SH-60B to MH-60R helicopter,
including one forward deployed in Japan, resulting in Safe To Operate certifications for all.
-Oversaw the testing,evaluation and change recommendations for several MH-60R Technical Directive Airframes and Avionics
changes ensuring engineering designs met real world applications.
-Responsible for review, analysis & validation of manpower requirements, organizational issues,personnelassignments,

manpower & organizational issues.
-Managed personnel assignments,qualifications, training and correspondence routing for 264 maintenance personnel.
-Identified and eliminated redundancies in publications, training and correspondence tracking.
-Developed an AIRSPEED recommended database which tracked personnelqualifications, training, and career in formation which
decreased paper consumption by 70% and administrative upkeep time by 95%.
Maintenance Material Control Officer Aug 2003 – Oct 2006

-Managed the efforts of 138 personnelperforming scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, support equipment upkeep, HAZMAT and
material requisitioning, logistics research and material tracking for 8 H60F/H helicopters.
-Managed and maintained the Weight and Balance program for the squadron and the incorporation of technical directives effecting
weight and balance identifying critical errors in several which resulted in immediate fleet wide changes.
-Executed planned maintenance scheduled that enabled the squadron to fly 1010.6 hours in January 2005 in support oftsunami relief
efforts in Indonesia.
-Remotely directed the maintenance and logistic efforts of four aircraft Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) training detachments to El
Centro, CA. and Fallon, NV. Efforts ensured a 97% sortie completion rate and 100% CSAR qualification of pilots and aircrew.
