BEWARE WOMEN IT’S A MEN’S WORLD
Both men and women are two half’s of a whole thing but the
problem and dilemma arises there when this beautiful world, a
worthy place to live with equality is termed as man’s world.
WHY? How many of us really support the right of women to
have political, social, and economic equality with men?
Do women are really feeling safe on this crust of earth?
And the most important question, why we women are
always judged?
But, it is hopeful that we will be able to find out answer to
some of our question thrown above through this inspiring
report and hope that our conclusion and explanation will
provide us some better mindset regarding that member of
human race –who are responsible and should be credited for
creating and upbringing this human race –men and women in
this world that is –“THE WOMEN”.
INTRODUCTION
Women have been oppressed for as long as history.
Their safety issues have always been questioned. There
are actually more women on Earth than there are men.
Women are not defined by skin colour, by spoken
language, or by class. Since women are not a minority
group, their unequal treatment has gone unnoticed by
many.
METHODOLOGY
INFORMATION NEEDED
Since our topic is on awareness of women or we can say
empowerment of women, We needed both primary data and
secondary data.
SOURCES OF DATA
For our report, we collect and use the data from one source:
1. PRIMARY DATA
2. SECONDARY DATA
PRIMARY DATA
We have collected primary data through the survey. For this we
have used questionnaire and collected the ideas for the people about
our report topic.
Survey Data:
Number of people: We have surveyed 20 men and women for our
report.
Where I Survey:
We have chosen some girls from our college as well as some women
who were doing some sort of professional job. They were some
women doing side by business .some women are housewives.
We have chosen men from every category of age, youth, middle age
as well as some experienced old aged.
Our survey also includes some of the live victims too.
Number of Question:
In our questionnaire we have selected some questions that were
asked individually to men and women.
SECONDARY DATA:
We have collected secondary data form web sites as well daily life
issues discussion and real life examples.
Conceptual Framework
We have not used any kind of complicated word in our report.
Anybody can simply understand the whole things, just only need
careful reading. Moreover, we have not tried to oversimplify to keep
a standard and we have maintained judicial attitudes.
Feminism
What is Feminism ???
Feminism is a belief in the right of women to have political, social, and
economic equality with men. Feminism is a diverse collection of social
theories, political movements, and moral philosophies. Some versions
are critical of past and present social relations. Many focus on
analyzing what they believe to be social constructions of gender and
sexuality. Many focus on studying gender inequality and promoting
women’s rights, interests, and issues.
HISTORY
PATRIARCHIAL SOCIETY....
Patriarchy is a social system in which males hold primary power, predominate in
roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of
property. Historically, the term patriarchy was used to refer
to autocratic rule by the male head of a family. However, in modern times, it
more generally refers to social systems in which power is primarily held by
adult men.
Aristotle believed that "soul contributes the form and model of creation."
This implies that any imperfection that is caused in the world must be caused
by a woman because one cannot acquire an imperfection from perfection
(which he perceived as male). Aristotle had a hierarchical ruling
OPPRESSION
• The core element to the female sociology is the idea of
systematic oppression against women.
• Feminist sociologists argue that this oppression exists and is
essentially due to patriarchal systems that they claim exist in
society.
• The basic theory of oppression is that all women, no matter where
they live or what religion, race, or social status they possess, are
oppressed due to their sex.
• Oppression can overlap if women are in other oppressed groups, such
as a race that is oppressed or a sexuality that is oppressed within a
certain society.
SEXISM
“Sexism or gender discrimination is prejudice based on a person’s sex or
gender”
• It is documented as affecting women and girls.it has been stereotypes and gender
roles, and belief that one sex or gender is intrinsically superior to another. People are
socialized to give a certain degree of respect and power to a person based solely on
his or her appearance
• In most societies, this is true for age and race, as well as sex. When someone
encounters another person, one of the first things he or she will do is to try to
determine whether this person is male or female.
• Sexism has been defined as any cultural or economic structure which creates or
enforces the patterns of sex-marking, which divide the species into dominates and
subordinates.
LANGUAGE
• Certain words have become commonly attributed to each sex. This is a result of
socialization and gender power structures and has no true basis in biology or
gender differences.
• This language affects not only everyday speech, but also finds its way into
academic arenas such as science, which in turn creates a new
type socialization that is potentially more dangerous due to its covert infiltration
of an educational and academic setting that is supposed to be unbiased.
WOMEN’S SECURITY
• In many parts of North India son preference is a widely practiced
phenomenon.
• Son preference has direct linkages to sex-selective abortion (illegal
across India; however, enforcement by both police and some doctors is
still lacking), and discrimination of girl children in access to health,
nutrition, and education.
Trafficking of Women andGirls
• India is both a source and destination for trafficked women and girls
into prostitution and bonded labour. While exact numbers of trafficked
women and girls are difficult to ascertain, there have been figures
projected by various national and international NGOs.
• Anti-trafficking measures in India have increased with India’s
commitment to international human rights protocols, and through strict
legal provisions at the national level.
• The debate over legalization of sex work continues today and sex-work
supporters are lobbying to change the ITPA for better rehabilitation
measures for those who have been rescued during brothel and street
raids. The ITPA also does not give adequate measures for those .
CULTURE THREATENINGWOMEN EXISTENCE
MARRIAGE
• In some cultures, women are forced into arranged marriages according to the
cultural customs of their region or their religion. Taking away a woman’s right to
choose a life partner would clearly be an issue with feminist
RAPE
• Some cultures punish women after a rape has occurred, claiming that her
impurity has brought shame on the family. Women are also tortured or killed in
other cultures throughout the world for infidelities that bring shame to the
family.
• RAPE is the fourth most common crime against WOMEN IN INDIA. According
to the National Crime Records Bureau 2013 annual report, 24,923 rape cases
were reported across India in 2012. Out of these, 24,470 were committed by
someone known to the victim (98% of the cases).
NOWTHEQUESTIONISWHYTHISRAPEARENOT REPORTED
It is such a disgusting thinking of this human race that women are
themselves responsible for what is worst happening to them. why?
because they are physically weak. Many of the rape cases are
unreported all over the world only because that can bring shame to
their family and giving a pride moment for the culprits to walk
fearlessly.
SATI PRACTISE
Sati (Sanskrit: satī , also spelled suttee) is an obsolete Indian funeral custom where
a widow immolated herself on her husband's spyre, or committed suicide in another
fashion shortly after her husband's death.
WHY WOMEN WERE CHOOSEN FOR BECOMING SATI AND NOT MEN BECAUSE IT IS EASY TO
THROW THEM ON FIRE DURING FUNERAL OF THEIR HUSBAND?
HONOR KILLING
• An honor killing or shame killing is the homicide of a member of a family by other
members, due to the perpetrators' belief that the victim has brought shame or
dishonor upon the family, or has violated the principles of a community or a religion,
usually for reasons such as refusing to enter an arranged marriage, being in a
relationship that is disapproved by their family, having sex outside marriage,
becoming the victim of rape, dressing in ways which are deemed inappropriate,
engaging in non-heterosexual relations or renouncing a faith.

Ki & Ka
 Ki & Ka(Hers and His) is an Indian romantic drama film written,
directed, and produced by R.Balki.
 The film follows a young, married couple contradicting the
gender placed upon women and men in Indian society. It stars
Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor.
 Kia(Kareena Kapoor) aims to become a successful business
woman and also wishes other women to work instead of managing
the house-hold and just becoming the support system of her
husband.
REVIEWS OF FILM
• “On the whole, Ki & Ka is a cleverly crafted feel-good film that
packs all the emotions. Though it has strong performances by both
Arjun and Kareena, the film is bound to draw extreme reactions
from the orthodox audiences who may find the premise difficult to
digest. It is an urban progressive film and young married couples.”
• “There is no denying that Ki & Ka has a noble concept, but hasn’t the
director very conveniently confined himself to a comfort zone where
he only needs to break some generalized stereotypes such as ‘women
can’t be ambitious’ or ‘men can’t cook at home’ or ‘a women's career
is finished after pregnancy’? Ki & Ka isn’t a strong voice against
gender stereotyping, but it’s one of its kind in mainstream Hindi film
industry.
WOMEN & MEN- Different But Equal
• After thousand of years of male dominance ,we now
stand at
• The beginning of the feminine era, when women to
rise to there appropriate prominence , and the entire
world will be recognize the harmony between man &
women .
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MAN &
WOMEN?
Man & women represent two forms of divine energy, they
are the male & female elements of a single soul. G-d is
neither masculine nor feminine, but has two forms of
emanation . The masculine form, which is more aggressive
and the feminine form, which is more subtle. For a human
being to lead a total life , he or she must have both forms
of energy. The power of strength and the power of
subtlety, the power of giving and the power of receiving .
Ideally, these energies are merged seamlessly.
Men are physically stronger. By nature, they are
usually more aggressive and externally oriented. In
contrast, a women usually embodies the ideal of inner
dignity.
Some people confuse such subtlety with weakness ,
in truth, it is stronger then the most aggressive
physical force imaginable. True human dignity does
not shout , it is strong , steady voice that’s speaks
from within. The nature of women, while subtle, is
not weak. And the nature of a man, while aggressive,
is not brutish. for man & women to be complete,
they most each possess both energies.
WHAT IS TRUE LIBERATION FOR BOTH SEXES ?
Though feminism rightfully calls for the end of male domination
and abuse, and for equal rights for women , it is vital to get to the
root of the distortion –that our focus in life, as man or women, must
not be simply to satisfy our own ego or needs , but to serve G-d.
True women’s liberation does not mean merely seeking equality
within a masculine world, but liberating the divine Feminine aspects
of a women’s personality and using them for the benefit Of
humankind. After so many years of male dominance, we are standing
at the threshold of a true feminine era. It is time now for the
women to rise to here true prominence, when the subtle power of
the feminine energy is truly allowed to nourish the overt power of
the masculine energy.
DISCUSSION
So far we have seen how women have been oppressed, faced
discrimination in pas as well as facing in present . We have got
some of the idea how patriarchal society is affecting growth of
women and always arising a question mark on feminism. from the
survey analysis we came to know the over all idea how women are
themselves aware in this world and do they want system to
change or not. But the most important thing that brings pride to
all of the women –hood is that despite of all the oppression ,
discrimination, insulation some of the group of women have shown
the world and literally declared-NOT ONLY MENS WORLD BUT
WE ARE ALSO IMMENSE PART OF IT. Now we are going to
show some of the greatest achievements and heart touching
scenario clearly describing women are no lesser than men from
any angle.
CONCLUSION
A concluding point, which is very powerful, is that
women are not always actively oppressed, and for the
most part women are part of a lot of the actual
oppression. The unequal treatment of women in
society originates in men, but from underneath the
obvious surface, where social structure dwells. It is
difficult to determine exactly where female
oppression began.
POLICY RECOMMENDATION
To establish equal right in our society we suggest some
recommendations which are in the following.
1. Changing attitude of man toward women.
2. Making a women aware.
3. Implementing government laws strictly to establish women
right.
4. Making women skillful through education.
5. Rising awareness to all people through advertising ,campaigning,
seminar etc.
6. Changing our blind religious practice.
7. Involving more women in workforce and giving them economic
independency .

  • 4. BEWARE WOMEN IT’S A MEN’S WORLD Both men and women are two half’s of a whole thing but the problem and dilemma arises there when this beautiful world, a worthy place to live with equality is termed as man’s world. WHY? How many of us really support the right of women to have political, social, and economic equality with men? Do women are really feeling safe on this crust of earth? And the most important question, why we women are always judged? But, it is hopeful that we will be able to find out answer to some of our question thrown above through this inspiring report and hope that our conclusion and explanation will provide us some better mindset regarding that member of human race –who are responsible and should be credited for creating and upbringing this human race –men and women in this world that is –“THE WOMEN”.
  • 5. INTRODUCTION Women have been oppressed for as long as history. Their safety issues have always been questioned. There are actually more women on Earth than there are men. Women are not defined by skin colour, by spoken language, or by class. Since women are not a minority group, their unequal treatment has gone unnoticed by many.
  • 6. METHODOLOGY INFORMATION NEEDED Since our topic is on awareness of women or we can say empowerment of women, We needed both primary data and secondary data. SOURCES OF DATA For our report, we collect and use the data from one source: 1. PRIMARY DATA 2. SECONDARY DATA PRIMARY DATA We have collected primary data through the survey. For this we have used questionnaire and collected the ideas for the people about our report topic. Survey Data: Number of people: We have surveyed 20 men and women for our report.
  • 7. Where I Survey: We have chosen some girls from our college as well as some women who were doing some sort of professional job. They were some women doing side by business .some women are housewives. We have chosen men from every category of age, youth, middle age as well as some experienced old aged. Our survey also includes some of the live victims too. Number of Question: In our questionnaire we have selected some questions that were asked individually to men and women. SECONDARY DATA: We have collected secondary data form web sites as well daily life issues discussion and real life examples. Conceptual Framework We have not used any kind of complicated word in our report. Anybody can simply understand the whole things, just only need careful reading. Moreover, we have not tried to oversimplify to keep a standard and we have maintained judicial attitudes.
  • 8. Feminism What is Feminism ??? Feminism is a belief in the right of women to have political, social, and economic equality with men. Feminism is a diverse collection of social theories, political movements, and moral philosophies. Some versions are critical of past and present social relations. Many focus on analyzing what they believe to be social constructions of gender and sexuality. Many focus on studying gender inequality and promoting women’s rights, interests, and issues.
  • 9. HISTORY PATRIARCHIAL SOCIETY.... Patriarchy is a social system in which males hold primary power, predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property. Historically, the term patriarchy was used to refer to autocratic rule by the male head of a family. However, in modern times, it more generally refers to social systems in which power is primarily held by adult men. Aristotle believed that "soul contributes the form and model of creation." This implies that any imperfection that is caused in the world must be caused by a woman because one cannot acquire an imperfection from perfection (which he perceived as male). Aristotle had a hierarchical ruling
  • 10. OPPRESSION • The core element to the female sociology is the idea of systematic oppression against women. • Feminist sociologists argue that this oppression exists and is essentially due to patriarchal systems that they claim exist in society. • The basic theory of oppression is that all women, no matter where they live or what religion, race, or social status they possess, are oppressed due to their sex. • Oppression can overlap if women are in other oppressed groups, such as a race that is oppressed or a sexuality that is oppressed within a certain society.
  • 11. SEXISM “Sexism or gender discrimination is prejudice based on a person’s sex or gender” • It is documented as affecting women and girls.it has been stereotypes and gender roles, and belief that one sex or gender is intrinsically superior to another. People are socialized to give a certain degree of respect and power to a person based solely on his or her appearance • In most societies, this is true for age and race, as well as sex. When someone encounters another person, one of the first things he or she will do is to try to determine whether this person is male or female. • Sexism has been defined as any cultural or economic structure which creates or enforces the patterns of sex-marking, which divide the species into dominates and subordinates.
  • 12. LANGUAGE • Certain words have become commonly attributed to each sex. This is a result of socialization and gender power structures and has no true basis in biology or gender differences. • This language affects not only everyday speech, but also finds its way into academic arenas such as science, which in turn creates a new type socialization that is potentially more dangerous due to its covert infiltration of an educational and academic setting that is supposed to be unbiased.
  • 13. WOMEN’S SECURITY • In many parts of North India son preference is a widely practiced phenomenon. • Son preference has direct linkages to sex-selective abortion (illegal across India; however, enforcement by both police and some doctors is still lacking), and discrimination of girl children in access to health, nutrition, and education.
  • 14. Trafficking of Women andGirls • India is both a source and destination for trafficked women and girls into prostitution and bonded labour. While exact numbers of trafficked women and girls are difficult to ascertain, there have been figures projected by various national and international NGOs. • Anti-trafficking measures in India have increased with India’s commitment to international human rights protocols, and through strict legal provisions at the national level. • The debate over legalization of sex work continues today and sex-work supporters are lobbying to change the ITPA for better rehabilitation measures for those who have been rescued during brothel and street raids. The ITPA also does not give adequate measures for those .
  • 15. CULTURE THREATENINGWOMEN EXISTENCE MARRIAGE • In some cultures, women are forced into arranged marriages according to the cultural customs of their region or their religion. Taking away a woman’s right to choose a life partner would clearly be an issue with feminist RAPE • Some cultures punish women after a rape has occurred, claiming that her impurity has brought shame on the family. Women are also tortured or killed in other cultures throughout the world for infidelities that bring shame to the family. • RAPE is the fourth most common crime against WOMEN IN INDIA. According to the National Crime Records Bureau 2013 annual report, 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012. Out of these, 24,470 were committed by someone known to the victim (98% of the cases).
  • 16. NOWTHEQUESTIONISWHYTHISRAPEARENOT REPORTED It is such a disgusting thinking of this human race that women are themselves responsible for what is worst happening to them. why? because they are physically weak. Many of the rape cases are unreported all over the world only because that can bring shame to their family and giving a pride moment for the culprits to walk fearlessly.
  • 17. SATI PRACTISE Sati (Sanskrit: satī , also spelled suttee) is an obsolete Indian funeral custom where a widow immolated herself on her husband's spyre, or committed suicide in another fashion shortly after her husband's death. WHY WOMEN WERE CHOOSEN FOR BECOMING SATI AND NOT MEN BECAUSE IT IS EASY TO THROW THEM ON FIRE DURING FUNERAL OF THEIR HUSBAND? HONOR KILLING • An honor killing or shame killing is the homicide of a member of a family by other members, due to the perpetrators' belief that the victim has brought shame or dishonor upon the family, or has violated the principles of a community or a religion, usually for reasons such as refusing to enter an arranged marriage, being in a relationship that is disapproved by their family, having sex outside marriage, becoming the victim of rape, dressing in ways which are deemed inappropriate, engaging in non-heterosexual relations or renouncing a faith.

  • 21. Ki & Ka  Ki & Ka(Hers and His) is an Indian romantic drama film written, directed, and produced by R.Balki.  The film follows a young, married couple contradicting the gender placed upon women and men in Indian society. It stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor.  Kia(Kareena Kapoor) aims to become a successful business woman and also wishes other women to work instead of managing the house-hold and just becoming the support system of her husband.
  • 22. REVIEWS OF FILM • “On the whole, Ki & Ka is a cleverly crafted feel-good film that packs all the emotions. Though it has strong performances by both Arjun and Kareena, the film is bound to draw extreme reactions from the orthodox audiences who may find the premise difficult to digest. It is an urban progressive film and young married couples.” • “There is no denying that Ki & Ka has a noble concept, but hasn’t the director very conveniently confined himself to a comfort zone where he only needs to break some generalized stereotypes such as ‘women can’t be ambitious’ or ‘men can’t cook at home’ or ‘a women's career is finished after pregnancy’? Ki & Ka isn’t a strong voice against gender stereotyping, but it’s one of its kind in mainstream Hindi film industry.
  • 23. WOMEN & MEN- Different But Equal • After thousand of years of male dominance ,we now stand at • The beginning of the feminine era, when women to rise to there appropriate prominence , and the entire world will be recognize the harmony between man & women .
  • 24. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MAN & WOMEN? Man & women represent two forms of divine energy, they are the male & female elements of a single soul. G-d is neither masculine nor feminine, but has two forms of emanation . The masculine form, which is more aggressive and the feminine form, which is more subtle. For a human being to lead a total life , he or she must have both forms of energy. The power of strength and the power of subtlety, the power of giving and the power of receiving . Ideally, these energies are merged seamlessly.
  • 25. Men are physically stronger. By nature, they are usually more aggressive and externally oriented. In contrast, a women usually embodies the ideal of inner dignity. Some people confuse such subtlety with weakness , in truth, it is stronger then the most aggressive physical force imaginable. True human dignity does not shout , it is strong , steady voice that’s speaks from within. The nature of women, while subtle, is not weak. And the nature of a man, while aggressive, is not brutish. for man & women to be complete, they most each possess both energies.
  • 26. WHAT IS TRUE LIBERATION FOR BOTH SEXES ? Though feminism rightfully calls for the end of male domination and abuse, and for equal rights for women , it is vital to get to the root of the distortion –that our focus in life, as man or women, must not be simply to satisfy our own ego or needs , but to serve G-d. True women’s liberation does not mean merely seeking equality within a masculine world, but liberating the divine Feminine aspects of a women’s personality and using them for the benefit Of humankind. After so many years of male dominance, we are standing at the threshold of a true feminine era. It is time now for the women to rise to here true prominence, when the subtle power of the feminine energy is truly allowed to nourish the overt power of the masculine energy.
  • 27. DISCUSSION So far we have seen how women have been oppressed, faced discrimination in pas as well as facing in present . We have got some of the idea how patriarchal society is affecting growth of women and always arising a question mark on feminism. from the survey analysis we came to know the over all idea how women are themselves aware in this world and do they want system to change or not. But the most important thing that brings pride to all of the women –hood is that despite of all the oppression , discrimination, insulation some of the group of women have shown the world and literally declared-NOT ONLY MENS WORLD BUT WE ARE ALSO IMMENSE PART OF IT. Now we are going to show some of the greatest achievements and heart touching scenario clearly describing women are no lesser than men from any angle.
  • 28. CONCLUSION A concluding point, which is very powerful, is that women are not always actively oppressed, and for the most part women are part of a lot of the actual oppression. The unequal treatment of women in society originates in men, but from underneath the obvious surface, where social structure dwells. It is difficult to determine exactly where female oppression began.
  • 29. POLICY RECOMMENDATION To establish equal right in our society we suggest some recommendations which are in the following. 1. Changing attitude of man toward women. 2. Making a women aware. 3. Implementing government laws strictly to establish women right. 4. Making women skillful through education. 5. Rising awareness to all people through advertising ,campaigning, seminar etc. 6. Changing our blind religious practice. 7. Involving more women in workforce and giving them economic independency .
