2. The video tells a story of a character appearing to be trying to get somewhere or
escape from something. There’s a certain mystery surrounding his purpose and
intentions. The early shots suggest an uncommon landscape located not far from
a big loud city. The person seems to be obliged to use all ways he can to get to
where he’s headed as in certain scenes he’s seen walking on thin high edges or
even climbing vertical walls. In a few shots there are other people present around
him who further contribute to the idea that he doesn’t blend in with society. The
color corrections and lightning used for the video make the whole scenery appear
dark and twisted with a sense of mystery. The editing uses a lot of distinctive cuts
and transitions often consisting of progressive flashes or fades to further
contribute to creating the action genre as well as to smoothly switch between
different landscapes . The character’s acting presents him as a powerful,
dominant but at the same time unusual figure . In certain moments he’s seen
walking towards darkness which could symbolically suggest his nature to be of an
evil kind. The plot of the story clearly focuses on him but does not let us know the
reasoning behind what’s going on and rather leaves it to interpretation.
3. Lighting
I edited the lighting on most of the video to create a dark and mysterious vibe over the character and his
surrounding. Due to the low saturation and the fact that it was night time when the scenes were shot, I
had to increase the brightness and contrast in order to further present the picture .
4. Editing
Most edits used were to further create suspense and contribute to the vibe of the
video . I used fades and flashes between scenes to emphasise the change of
setting in different shots.
5. Sound
The sound of the video uses a song which fits the aggressive nature of the character and is
fitted with the cuts and movement to make a more realistic sequence. There is a few seconds
fade in as well as fade out, in order to get a clearer introduction and conclusion to the story.
6. Camera work

7. Evaluation
In conclusion I tried to extend my editing and directing to be able to create
different atmosphere between shots while still being able to hold on to the general
vibe of the scenery. I picked this specific location, clothing and music to fit with the
aggressive yet mysterious genre of the video.
