2. HAMMER FILMS
This logo is extremely effective and I think it is noticeable that it is a film company
that is focused on horror films. I think that because the red symbolizes death and
horror therefore it is good that they have included red within the logo. The font is
very simple however, it is still effective because of this. I like that there Is a H within
the red because it represents ‘Hammer Films’. I think the grey fading in the
background is effective because it makes it look like metal. The overall shape of the
logo can look like a hammer if you turn your head to the side. Whether or not this
was planned it is still a good effect to the logo.
3. TWISTED PICTURES
I think that this horror company logo is extremely effective. This is because I like
that there is rope attached to the letters and between the two words there is a giant
nail. You can look at it and automatically know that there will be danger within the
film. Even thought the stereotypical colour red hasn’t been used, I feel that the dark
colours create a gloomy atmosphere. On the next slide there will be a clip of the
logo, the sounds create an image in your head of the rope wrapping around
someone in real life. I think this logo is extremely effective and can be easily
identified that it supports horror movies.
4. LIONSGATE
I think that this is a successful logo because of the colours and effects used.
The standstill logo is clouds all filling together however they are fading from
black to red. I think these colours represent death therefore it can show a
lot. The font of the logo is very basic however I think it is a good one in
contrast with the background. The animated logo is well thought about and
well done because it all builds up to a closing gate and then you see the
logo. Before this however you see spiraling cogs which resemble pain and
hurt. On the next slide there will be both the Lionsgate and the Twisted
pictures logo together.
