STUDENTS TO
COLLEGE
PAGE 17
1. OPTIMIZE CONTENT FOR ONLINE ATTENTION
student recruitment strategies must focus
on optimizing online content to ensure you
appear on their search results and compel
them to open your pages.
Use accurate targeting for the audience:
Facebook,
Instagram, and
Twitter ads should appear on feeds of
people looking for courses, in your country
and in locations that are allowed to travel in
your country.
PAGE 18
2. USE CREATIVE ONLINE MARKETING STRATEGIES
Use a unique, memorable
hashtag
Always add a link to your
website/landing page in
your posts
Make your campaign fun
and attractive
Create different content for
different social media sites
PAGE 19
3. LEAD WITH USABILITY, SIMPLICITY, AND
TRANSPARENCY
Why should one choose your
university? (Usability)
How do you convey this to TOFU
prospects? (Simplicity)
What are the realistic prospects for
a student before and after
graduation? (Transparency)
PAGE 20
4. PARTNER WITH HIGH SCHOOLS AND
COMMUNITIES WHERE YOU’LL MEET PROSPECTS
Student recruitment strategies
for college and university must
focus on partnering with
schools, churches, local
businesses,
And other communities to form
bonds with prospective students
there. PAGE 21
5. SET STRATEGIES TO TARGET AND RECRUIT
MINORITY STUDENTS
Provide special financial assistance to
minority students from low-income groups
Make necessary changes in administration,
student recruitment policies, and mentoring
programs to encourage admissions for
minority students.
For example, you could actively reach out to
minority schools and communities
to recruit students to your college.
PAGE 22
6. TELL YOUR CAMPUS STORY
Universities consider the campus story
to be one of the most important
student recruitment strategies.
Highlight the conflicts and then the
resolution.
Talk to board members, the principal
and professors to get their insights for
your story. Since everybody plays a
different role, you may get different
angles from them all.
PAGE 23
7. PUBLISH STUDENT-GENERATED CONTENT
Content generated from your
students or alumni can have a
favorable impact on your
prospective students’ decision-
making process.
Student-generated content is
authentic, which is one of the
best forms of content to attract
your prospects.
PAGE 24

9. PERSONALIZE DATA TO SHOW THEM YOU
CARE
Focus specific courses, extra-
curricular activities, scholarships, and
events.
Coordinate data between different
communication channels to give a
comfortable, intelligent experience
to prospects
PAGE 26
10. SET PRIORITIES– AND MORE IMPORTANTLY,
“POSTERIORITIES”
Set definite guidelines to categorize students
as priorities and posteriorities .
More resources go to the first priority and
least to the last posteriority.
PAGE 27
11. OFFER VALUABLE RESOURCES THAT HELP THEM
WITH THE ADMISSION PROCESS
Manage all resources in a single
repository so students can pick from
what is most helpful to them.
Update your resources from time-to-
time and keep up with the trends and
developments.

stages of nurturing.
Get faculty and alumni from
particular departments to conduct
online introductory sessions.
PAGE 31
14.RETOUCH
BASE WITH
PROSPECTS
WHO HAVE
TRICKLED OUT.
Call students whose reason for
dropping off is apparent
Send texts and emails with surveys
if you’re not sure why they
dropped off.
For colleges and universities,
retaining current students is just as
important as securing new
admissions.
PAGE 32
15 . Set up
effective and
approachable
communicatio
n mediums
Communication is the backbone of a
recruitment strategy.
The right message at the right time
to the right target creates a huge
