Summary
Domhnaill has over 8 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry
in Ireland and the Middle East. Domhnaill has experience working in both pre
and post quantity surveying services in many different forms of Contract. He
has spent time working for Main Contractors and Consultancies as a result
he has gained a wealth of Commercial and Contract experience in both
building and Civil Engineering projects. Domhnaill has worked as a lead
Quantity Surveyor on projects with contract values in an excess of RO 104
million.
Domhnaill has attained a BSc in Quantity Surveying, BSc (Hons) in Quantity
Surveying (Edinburgh Napier University) and was awarded a Building

Buildings
His buildings experience briefly comprises:
OMR 6 million Rials- Duqm, Oman, in which he was a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a Lump sum Contract
for a Park Inn Hotel. He was responsible for the evaluating and agreeing of Variations submitted by the
Contractor.
OMR 9 million Omani Rials– Ireland, in which he was the Project Quantity Surveyor on a design and build
project of a mixed development and a Residential block. He was responsible for procurement and
appointment of all sub-contractors, produced elemental bill of quantities for each trade, submitted and
agreed monthly valuations, submitted and agreed variations.
Infrastructure
His infrastructure experience briefly comprises:
OMR 28 million Omani Rials, Dualisation of Jabrin – Ibri Section 2, Oman in which he is the senior Quantity
Surveyor responsible for the retendering of the Works, cost checking, End Cost Predictions, Interim
Payment Preparation, Valuation Compilation, Project Management Reporting and provisional of Contractual
advise.
OMR 36 million Omani Rials, Dualisation of Jabrin – Ibri Section 1, Oman in which he is the senior Quantity
Surveyor responsible for cost checking, end Cost Predictions, Interim Payment Preparation and
recommendation, Valuation Compilation, Project Management Reporting and provisional of Contractual
advise.
OMR 40 million Omani Rials, Dualisation of Jabrin – Ibri Section 2, Oman in which he was the senior
Quantity Surveyor responsible for cost checking, Change Management, End Cost Predictions, Interim
Payment Preparation, Valuation Compilation, Project Management Reporting and provisional of Contractual
advise which included advising the Client on termination procedures for the Main Contractor responsible
for the project. Domhnaill was also involved in drafting, on behalf of the Engineer, responses to the
Contractor’s requests for a number Engineers decisions.
OMR 19 million Omani Rials – Wadi Bani Kharus Asphalt Road, Oman in which he was the Quantity
Surveyor responsible for cost checking, Change Management, End Cost Predictions, Valuation Compilation,

Dispute Resolution
An extension of time and application of cost claim representing the Contractor for the Oman Convention Centre in
which Domhnaill worked to develop the claim document. His section of works was large ly focused on the
chronology / narrative of delay events No.9 and No. 25.
Domhnaill has assisted in the preparation of an independent report on behalf of the Contractor for the
Construction of Paved Road in Wilayat Madha (Governorate of Musandam). Domhnaill evaluated the extra over
cost associated with the failure of being able to dispose surplus material off site, between May 2013 and January
2016.
Domhnaill had key involvement in the process of terminating the main Contractor on Jabrin – Ibri section 1 where
he was involved in liaising and coordinating with the Client in the termination process. Also, Domhnaill was
involved in drafting responses, on behalf of the Engineer, for a number of engineer decisions requested by the
Contractor.
