1. Theory Meaning
Character views:
Darth Vader: Black and red colours on his outfit to symboliseevil and dark
meaning. He also has a mask which de humanises him as it takes away his
human features. He has a military style outfits which relates to the Nazis
uniformwhich could have been placed purposely. Heis part robotic which also
dehumanises him as it replaces his human organs.
Obi Wan Kenobi: His clothing is relating to the monks which associates with
religion meaning good. The use of blue on his Lightsaber which means
authority and law and order. He shows his human features which makes him
more of a good guy becausehe can be moretrusted as you know whathe
looks like.
Ivan oose: The colour purplehas the connotations of someone dying and
poison which represents evil and bad people. His facial features are far from
human and this dehumanises him completely making him look fearsomeand
untrusting. He has spikes on his head which causehis face to become inhuman
and evil looking.
Maleficent: Purple used with green to representevil with her face and outfit.
Her eyes are the wring colour which makes her look mysterious and evil
looking. She has horns on her head which can relate to the devil and hell. She
has a crow on her shoulder and crows can representdeath and despair.
Buzz Light-year: he could come across as evil as he has both purpleand green
on his costumewhich represent poison and evil however this is in contrast
with white which is representing his good side however violence is partof his
nature as he has a implanted laser in his arm which gives him a violent
approach.
Captain America: He uses patriot colours in his outfit which show he is a man
of law and order and they are the colours of the American flag which shows he
is fighting for his country.
2. LA Noire Poster
The poster is split between blue and red which could symbolisegood versus
evil between the detective and the police force. When looking at the poster I
feel that the police may be corrupted in the game as they are stood around in
a crime scene on the red side of the poster. As for the detective character it
looks like he is walking towards the good side away fromthe bad side which
could symbolisea change in his loyalty. His outfit uses earth colours mixed with
red and black which shows thathe is a mostly good much has a touch of evil in
him to which could suggestwhy he is holding a gun in his left hand. The gun is
facing the good side which could mean that he is using his evil touch to use the
gun to protect the girl on the good side. The logo uses bright60s movie theatre
look to stand out of the poster using yellow colours which could suggestthe
city is poisoned with evil characters.
