I want a Friend
by Tony Ross
What do they look like?
The book in general is a simple layout suitable for children under the age
of five. The front page has a large image followed by large text which
will help it stand out to a child with the bright and bold colors.
How is the book illustrated?
Inside the book the pages are set out with a box where an image of the
story is placed on every page for the child to look at while it was being
read to them or they were reading it themselves. The images are not
heavily illustrated and include basic colors and images to produce a
scene for the book.
What kind of fonts are used?
The text within the book is very basic and large to make it visible for the
child to easily read. Each letter has a slight slant to it which gives a
good effect making it more fun to read for the child.
How much text is on the page?
In this book the text is kept to a minimum each page with
no more than three lines per page, this helps the child
read it easily and is not too much of a challenge for
them.
How many pages are there?
the book has 32 pages in total with 23 pages of the actual
story which again is easy for a child to read.
