- CONVENTIONS of the heist genre
- CONVENTIONS of heist genre in 'GODLESS'
- CONVENTIONS of a film opening
Answers:
- Although there is a little diversity in age as the villain character is presented as more mature we would
have baby work with an older criminal
- We understand that in the opening there was no gender diversity in the opening of the film, however we
could only show limited characters and have a romance planned later on in the movie
- Again like the issue of gender we understand that we greatly lacked diversity in terms of ethnicity, but we
are also planning to feature a more ethnically diverse cast later on in the film.
- This unfortunately is one of the issues that goes undressed in our film, but we are fully aware that our cast
lacks any queer representation. We likely made this mistake while writing because the heist genre is
dominated by heteronormative characters
- Most common are the featuring of antiheros ummmm, a 'boss' character. You also very commonly have a
power dynamic between the protagonist and the boss character (or with any other characters). The movie
'The Great Train Robbery' is commonly sighted as the archetype for this genre
2. - Well we do feature an antihero who has a power dynamic with the villain character, which also reflects the
theme of social class, there is also a 'call to action' in the opening
- Starts with short 4 - 10 second idents
Distributors idents are shown first
Idents of producers are shown last and are usually used for an audio bridge
