Plants are one of the most important living organism on earth.
They play much benefit to both animals and human beings.
They produce oxygen which is needed for the survival of
living organism. There are some plants which reproduce by
using their accessory part like flower.

Sepal
The modified leaves which enclose and protect the other parts
of flower when it is still a bud. When the flower blooms, the
sepal supports the bottom of the flower. A group of sepals is
called calyx.

Petals
The most obvious part of a flower. Most petals are
brightly colored to attract insects for pollination. A
group of petals is called corolla.

Stamen
The male part of a flower. It consist of the filament and the
anther. The filament holds the anther in a position tall enough
to release the pollen. The anther consist of two lobes that
contains pollen sacs. Pollen sacs have pollen grains that are
released by the anther when they mature.

Pistil
Is the female part of the flower. It is made up of three parts:
1. Style is a stalk that connects the stigma to the ovary. Tall enough to trap pollen
grains.
2. Stigma is a swollen structure at the end of the style. It receives the pollen
grains. The mature stigma secrets a fluid that stimulates the pollen grains to
germinate.
3. Ovary is the enlarged basal portion of the pistil which contains the ovule.
