The yellow text is easy to
use and the font isn’t to
complicated. Its really
calm and relaxed- the
yellow connotates
happiness which links to
the title of the video
I could easily find
this view for my
video clips as I live
near lots of
countryside
The lighting
is effective as
it contrasts
the dark
against the
light
The time duration is
small witch keeps it
snappy, as well as the
clips and angles
switching up to create
a contrast.
The meaning behind the
video is loving someone,
this is shown to us through
the clips of two young
teenagers showing
affection to one another-
this creates emotion and
makes the audience think
The words the artist has used as shown in
this image tell the message they are trying
to get across with is to not be afraid about
love- he is directing this to Somone called "
Cory"
There clothing is more
younger suited witch could
appeal to the younger
audience as they could
wear similar clothing like
hoodies and puffer coats

Simple yellow text
fits the minimalistic
look, it also creates a
relaxing scene.
The Hidden
Meaning is about
her sister, this
creates emotion on
the audience.
Filmed on a film
camera to create
a vintage look. As
well as a old retro
look.
The
background is
blurred which
focuses on the
main person
instead of the
background
The target audience would
be young teenagers as they
might relate to having a
young siblings and missing
them.
Shes wearing thick
clothing as Theres a
cold scene and the
louder sound
effects of the waves
crashing enhance
this .
The gender
would be
females as
they are two
sisters.
Th scene is a
beach witch
creates chaos
and sadness
as its rainy
and windy.

A close up shot which
is blurred. As well as
longshots to create a
contrast.
The meaning of the
video is silence which
could connotate
sadness or feeling
silent in one- it makes
the audience think.
The target
audience would be
Young adults as its
quite a sensitive
topic witch some
younger viewers
may not
understand.
The different
lighting
through the
video creates
effect on the
watcher. It’s a
very light
bright tone.

Existing Product
The lighting is dark
witch creates a
dusk ambient
atmosphere and a
cold tone
The close up
focus on the fish
and the blurred
background is an
amazing contrast
The film is short and lasts 3 mins
which allows the watcher to keep
engaged, this is also helped by
how intense and deep the
meaning on the film is.
The audience of this film is prominently
males as it’s mainly male dominated as the
character is male and is talking from a male
perspective about a female. Therefore males
may relate to this film more.
The meaning of the film
is about a females mind
and how the male views
it as a “ beautiful mind”
this shows the different
gender comparisons.
The lighting connects
with the poem words
as it creates a
emotional energy on
the reader for example
makes them sad or
confused

Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched products have? They are
all visual poem spoken videos which include subtitles and slow
music. As well as close up shots and longshots. They all have similar
colour schemes of light colours like blue and white which signifies
purity. The Lense is blurred in certain places which is really effective
to watch. The text that has been used for the subtitles is simple and
a couple of the existing products have yellow text which is a
positive and bright colour.
• What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
I will include the angles I have been researching including blurred,
close up, and long shots. I will also Include the minimalistic text
witch is simple yet effective. I will use the similar shots of
landscapes and people living. I love the lyrics that iv been
researching in my existing products so I will include similar topics.
For example life, mental health and love.

Research
Evaluation
Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths and
weaknesses of each method
– Product Research- I found product research really helpful as I could find what products were already
out there and what kind of things they included like angles close up shots and longshots. Without
this I would have been limited to ideas for text colours and angles. The strength of my product
research would be that I have discovered different angles and texts to use through
my project. However a negative would be that there wasn’t to many to take
inspiration from as it was quite a limited audience. I think this is because its not
that popular in the media industry.
– Questionnaires: My questionnaires took quite a while to produce and read, however the responses I
got where very positive and helpful for my product as I knew what my audience may enjoy. Like the
topic and different colours and lighting. I could of done with more than I received but I got the most I
could. If i Would of done this again I would of shared my questionnaire on more social platforms to
get a larger response and audience. Like twitter and Facebook.
– Interviews: My interviews where really positive and I received in detail responses. It helped me
gather more information I needed. I learnt more and gathered more detail that was personal to the
person I was interviewing. I was really happy with my questions as I felt they were very professional
and informative. I did my interviews online which I would of proffered to do in person but due to
covid I thought it was just better and easier to do online. I sent them the questions and they
responded. If I had of done it in person I might of got more detail from them.
Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get? I got 7 responses and they were all very
positive. My common questions where related to what the audience wanted
to see and would relate to the most. This helped me adder to them best.
Some responses were not the most helpful for example skipped questions and
maybe not answering them this was maybe because they were not interested
or just didn’t want to answer. However I got a good picture from others.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage-
– I distributed my survey through directly messaging people on snapchat and
Facebook messenger as well as text. I copied the link from survey monkey. This
way I knew I could rely on there responses. I also sent it through teams and
emails. A disadvantage however would be that to receive more responses I
could of posted it on social media to get a larger group of people and different
outlooks and responses from people I might of not even known. I was pretty
limited due to how I distributed it however it gave me more than enough to
work with.

2. research (fmp) (1)11 (1)

  • 2. Existing Product The yellow text is easy to use and the font isn’t to complicated. Its really calm and relaxed- the yellow connotates happiness which links to the title of the video I could easily find this view for my video clips as I live near lots of countryside The lighting is effective as it contrasts the dark against the light The time duration is small witch keeps it snappy, as well as the clips and angles switching up to create a contrast. The meaning behind the video is loving someone, this is shown to us through the clips of two young teenagers showing affection to one another- this creates emotion and makes the audience think The words the artist has used as shown in this image tell the message they are trying to get across with is to not be afraid about love- he is directing this to Somone called " Cory" There clothing is more younger suited witch could appeal to the younger audience as they could wear similar clothing like hoodies and puffer coats https://youtu.be/mR6RUVoj_4k
  • 3. Existing Product Simple yellow text fits the minimalistic look, it also creates a relaxing scene. The Hidden Meaning is about her sister, this creates emotion on the audience. Filmed on a film camera to create a vintage look. As well as a old retro look. The background is blurred which focuses on the main person instead of the background The target audience would be young teenagers as they might relate to having a young siblings and missing them. Shes wearing thick clothing as Theres a cold scene and the louder sound effects of the waves crashing enhance this . The gender would be females as they are two sisters. Th scene is a beach witch creates chaos and sadness as its rainy and windy. https://youtu.be/Dt37miHO9Ks
  • 4. Existing Product A close up shot which is blurred. As well as longshots to create a contrast. The meaning of the video is silence which could connotate sadness or feeling silent in one- it makes the audience think. The target audience would be Young adults as its quite a sensitive topic witch some younger viewers may not understand. The different lighting through the video creates effect on the watcher. It’s a very light bright tone. https://youtu.be/Da5eV9VMq1M
  • 5. Existing Product The lighting is dark witch creates a dusk ambient atmosphere and a cold tone The close up focus on the fish and the blurred background is an amazing contrast The film is short and lasts 3 mins which allows the watcher to keep engaged, this is also helped by how intense and deep the meaning on the film is. The audience of this film is prominently males as it’s mainly male dominated as the character is male and is talking from a male perspective about a female. Therefore males may relate to this film more. The meaning of the film is about a females mind and how the male views it as a “ beautiful mind” this shows the different gender comparisons. The lighting connects with the poem words as it creates a emotional energy on the reader for example makes them sad or confused https://youtu.be/mNx0UtWT-jY

  • 25. Research Evaluation • Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each method – Product Research- I found product research really helpful as I could find what products were already out there and what kind of things they included like angles close up shots and longshots. Without this I would have been limited to ideas for text colours and angles. The strength of my product research would be that I have discovered different angles and texts to use through my project. However a negative would be that there wasn’t to many to take inspiration from as it was quite a limited audience. I think this is because its not that popular in the media industry. – Questionnaires: My questionnaires took quite a while to produce and read, however the responses I got where very positive and helpful for my product as I knew what my audience may enjoy. Like the topic and different colours and lighting. I could of done with more than I received but I got the most I could. If i Would of done this again I would of shared my questionnaire on more social platforms to get a larger response and audience. Like twitter and Facebook. – Interviews: My interviews where really positive and I received in detail responses. It helped me gather more information I needed. I learnt more and gathered more detail that was personal to the person I was interviewing. I was really happy with my questions as I felt they were very professional and informative. I did my interviews online which I would of proffered to do in person but due to covid I thought it was just better and easier to do online. I sent them the questions and they responded. If I had of done it in person I might of got more detail from them.
  • 26. Research Evaluation – What sort of a response did you get? I got 7 responses and they were all very positive. My common questions where related to what the audience wanted to see and would relate to the most. This helped me adder to them best. Some responses were not the most helpful for example skipped questions and maybe not answering them this was maybe because they were not interested or just didn’t want to answer. However I got a good picture from others. – How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage- – I distributed my survey through directly messaging people on snapchat and Facebook messenger as well as text. I copied the link from survey monkey. This way I knew I could rely on there responses. I also sent it through teams and emails. A disadvantage however would be that to receive more responses I could of posted it on social media to get a larger group of people and different outlooks and responses from people I might of not even known. I was pretty limited due to how I distributed it however it gave me more than enough to work with.
