Plan, direct and oversee capacity planning, scheduling and routing for next day Pick Up & Delivery (P&D)
operations for this high-volume casket company processing up to 1,000 inbound/outbound caskets on a weekly
basis. Provide leadership and direction to a staff of four direct reports and 15 dotted line employees. Direct
accountability for all facets of shipping/receiving, picking/loading accuracy and inventory control, as well as
working with customers/staff to expedite orders when necessary. Manage all servicing functions at three
additional cross docks throughout Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Support drivers in the prompt rectification
of any vehicle issues; assist in preventative maintenance/repair planning for the company’s fleet of 22 trucks.
Serve as Secondary Manager to AM crew.
• Utilize Ortec to effectively plan delivery routes in the most efficient manner to reduce downtime; analyze
routes of transit and map coordinates to identify current road construction or other variances which may cause
