WHERE IS EGYPT ? 
The Ancient Egyptians 
were in Egypt, in the 
north-east of Africa. The 
lived in small towns and 
villages near the River 
Nile. 
ere was a bang. 
The earth is the only planet which there is 
life.
HOW WERE THE EGYPT ? 
They were slim and they 
had black hair. 
The men wear short 
skirts and the women 
wear long dresses.

HOW DID THEY LIVE?

• Ordinary people lived in 
small house. They did not 
have any chairs or beds, so 
they slept and ate on the 
floor. 
• Rich people lived in big 
houses, with gardens and 
ponds with lots of fish. They 
sat chairs and comfortable 
beds, and servants and 
slaves did all the work.
FOOD 
• They used to 
eat fruits and 
cereals. 
• Plowing with 
oxen, and they 
made their 
own wine and 
beer.
HIEROGLYPHIC 
bang.

• Ancient Egyptians 
used a system or 
picture writing called 
hieroglyphic
MUMMIES 
bang. 
A mummy is the body of a person (or 
an animal) that has been preserved 
after death. The process the 
Egyptians used to preserve the body 
is called mummification. It consists in: 
1. The death body was washed and 
purified. 
2. Organs were removed (and hold in 
canopic jars). Only the heart 
remained. 
3. The body was filled with salt during 
40-50 days. 
4. The body was wrapped in strands 
of linen and placed in a stone coffin 
called sarcophagus.
PYRAMIDS 
• The pyramids are the 
stone tombs of Egypt's 
kings-the Pharaohs. 
• The tombs were 
designed to protect the 
buried Pharaoh's body 
and his belongings. 
• Most of the pyramids 
can be found on the 
western side of the 
Nile River, just into the 
dry desert.
THEIR PHARAOHS 
Cleopatra and 
Tutankhamun were 
among the best 
known of the 
history of Egypt 
kings.
TEMPLES 
• The ancient Egyptians 
believed that temples 
were the homes of the 
gods and goddesses. 
Every temple was 
dedicated to a god or 
goddess.
SCULTURES

had larges graven 
images of their gods 
and pharaohs.
GODS 
• The ancient Egyptians 
believed in many different 
gods. 
• Some of them were:

painted and used 
as eye cream olive 
oil.
CATS 
• Cats were very 
important to 
them because 
they were 
considered 
gods.
