2. Today I planned and divided our storyboard for our
opening into 12 individual post it notes for our
storyboard.
We used post it notes, so that we could change any
scene if we felt that the ordering needed changing, for
example if one shot didn't work after another, we had
the chance to chance it.
This task was helpful as it enabled us to change and
apart our opening, therefore it allowed us to discuss
each aspect of our opening in more depth, before
deciding on what order that particular shot should go
in.

3. Today, I typed up our feedback given to our group by the others groups on
areas what work well and others areas which potentially need improving.
Firstly, from looking at our areas to potentially improve upon, I believe that
we should now brainstorm potential title names for our opening, which we
could ask people when they are completing our questionnaire about what
things they look for in film openings for example.
Secondly, we should also consider our location settings, as if we film outside
in the daytime then the lighting will be high key, which won't really go with
the thriller stereotype in which we are going for. Therefore, we should
perhaps film in a dark room with a desk lamp on aimed at the key aspect in
that particular shot which could be the actors or props such as blueprints.
This task was particularly useful as in our groups we put together a pitch of
potential ideas which we wanted to be considered when coming to make our
own film opening. Once, we had put together our pitch, we then presented it
to the class in order to see what they thought of it. They then accessed our
potential idea in the following two categories, what went well and even
better if (how we could improve).

4. Today, I conducted my risk assessment for all of the
possible hazards I could encounter while filming for
my opening. I have explained the risk level, before the
potential incident giving it a level ranging from high,
medium to low whether I think it is likely to be a
potential risk or not. I have then analysed the same risk
using the same criteria but for after the potential
incident, after that I then stated how I could potentially
reduce this potential risk.
This task enabled me to think more in depth about the
potential risks in which I may encounter while filming
and has allowed me to consider alternatives way to get
around the issue if I see it arising while we are filming.

5. Today, I wrote up about our visit to the BFI .
The day included Q&A sessions with Hannah Rothman
and Dexter Fletcher, as well as being presented by Pete
Fraser, who told us some useful techniques to include
within our opening.
This task enabled me to think back to the BFI trip,
therefore reinforcing all aspects which we had covered
during the day. This then allowed me consider what
ideas work best with the thriller opening my group are
going for and we decided not to include dialogue
based on Dexter's advice.
