2. What is LSC?
• An official student-run not-for-profit pro bono consultancy
• Formed as a subsidiary of UCLU Business Society
• Consultants are from a diverse background and experiences,
including Masters and PhD students

3. What do we do?
• Aim to provide students who have a keen interest in consulting
and entrepreneurship with first hand business experience
• Through a 8 weeks programme, under the guidance of a professional
mentor
• Allow business to tap into a large pool of driven and talented
students to gain fresh insights.

• Gaining fresh insights from a pool of driven student consultants
and their mentors
• Building brand awareness for your firm in UCL’s 38,000 student
population
• A perfect opportunity for your firm to access and recruit from a
pool of pre-screened, quality student consultants.

5. Programme Structure
Project formation
• Clients provide a
brief with the key
objectives &
deliverables, and
any other supporting
data if available.
Team Formation
• Student consultants
are recruited through
CV checks and case
interviews for
projects based on
background and
experience.
• Teams are required
to meet the client
prior to the induction
session
Induction
• Week 1: Resident
Mentors provide an
introduction to
consulting projects in
an induction day.
• Followed by project
specific advice in a
kick-off session.
Progress check
• Week 4: progress
would be monitored
by the project team
in the LSC
committee.
• There would also be
a catch up session
where consultants
and mentors meet
up to discuss and
troubleshoot and
potential issues.
Final presentation
• Student consultants
are required to
present their final
presentation to the
LSC
Committee/Resident
Mentors.
• Feedback would be
provided before they
deliver the final
presentation to the
client.

6. Tentative Dates
• Team formation: before the 20th January 2017
• Proposed first meeting: 30th Jan 2017 – 3rd Feb 2017
• Induction day: 4th February 2017
• Mid Progress Check: between 20th – 27th February 2017
