Project Leader responsible for design, development, testing and implementing
technical and business systems on the Blue Chip Insurance System, one of the 10
largest single image CICS systems in the world. Duties include system design,
program development, software testing, direct supervision of other analysts and
programmers, CICS technical consulting and troubleshooting, CICS System
Tuning, CICS configuration, CICS Business and CICS Technical modifications, and
CICS System Availability.
BOISE CASCADE OFFICE PRODUCTS - (02/1986 - 07/1991)
Project Manager. Warehouse Automation System. Taking project from initial
concept to implementation in a Distribution Center. Began by monitoring progress
of a 3rd party contracted to create this system, and designed and wrote IBM Host
Systems to interface with this system. Hired and managed programming/support
staff of seven people to take system as created by 3rd party, enhance, implement,
and support that system in a production environment. Established an HP-3000
development environment, including hardware, communications, development tools
and utilities. Performed programming and technical consulting when needed. This
system was an HP-3000 based system interfacing with an IBM Host, Portable Bar
Code Readers, PC's, and a UNIX peer processor. Using Assembler, Cobol, CICS,
VSAM, MVS, JCL, TSO, EDI, Batch Data Interchange, ANSI X.12 Standards.
Developed and implemented in-house automated Carousel Warehouse Picking
System. PC based system interfacing with IBM Host computer. Increased average
productivity in picking 100% over highest manual picking rate.
ADVANCED SYSTEM APPLICATIONS - (10/1984 - 02/1986)
Division Programming Manager. Assembled and managed a staff of 19 to create
an updated version of a group claims system. The Claims System was a
combination On-Line and Batch System, using PACBASE, VSAM, CICS Command
Level programs.
