ruses. When you use a ruse, you ask a question that has nothing to do with the
investigation whatsoever, just to see their reaction.
Bo Dietl created an autobiography in 1998 which was called One Tough Cop: The Bo Dietl Story
and this eventually made it to the big screen which starred Stephen Baldwin who played the role of
Bo Dietl. There was a plot in Abel Ferrara’s drama called Bad Lieutenant and this was mainly
inspired by the Dietl investigation that was of a rape that happened in 1981 and was of a nun and
the investigation ends there. Harvey Kietl played a protagonist in this film and Dietl was never an
addict to cocaine or any other alcoholic issues in his law enforcement career. Dietl played an
investigative detective in the beginning of the film. In the 1990 film Goodfellas he additionally
played the role of the detective who arrested Henry Hill. When we went to his girlfriend's
apartment, we mentioned that we were investigating her boyfriend for breaking
into some washing machines in the washroom and stealing change. Now, in reality,
the guy killed ten people, but we were letting the girlfriend think that's what we
were investigating.
