Scene Description: Ned drags a wounded boy that joined his gang only to be shot in the back by said boy.

Stylistic features: The scene using flashbacks to previously within the film where Ned kills an important character who is now
revealed to be the father of the boy who joined his gang, seeking revenge. This show the audience the effect of Neds actions
through the eyes of a seemly innocent character.
Outcome: The scene helps relate the boy to Ned’s character. As from the beginning Ned was only consumed with revenge for Lil Ze,
considering himself the reverse opposite of him that he didn’t realised he had become the power hungry gang leader. This is shown by the
boy being in the exact position Ned was, wanting revenge on a person who murder your family and join a gang to accomplish it. This shows
the butterfly effect the conflict between Ned and Lil Ze infects people around them, changing that person in the process.

3. Scene 2: Blacky Shots Benny
Scene Description: Blacky confronts Lil Ze at Benny's “Going away” party killing Benny by mistake.
Nature of conflict: Violent confrontation
Stylistic features: Lighting in scene is used to create suspense making it difficult for the audience to see what is happening within
the scene increasing the shock value for the audience when Benny is shot.
Outcome: The point of this scene is to show the representation of being trapped by crime and are unable to escape from it. This
being benny trying to get out before is violently killed of. This also show the repetition of conflict due to benny not able to hold back
Lil ze aggression against Carrot due to being dead Lil Ze retaliates leaning to conflict acting like a domino effect becoming more
increasing worst for the rest of the film.

4. Scene 3: LiL Dice to Lil Ze take over
Scene Description: Lil Dice massacring every single rival gang leader to take over their territories and changing his name to Lil Ze.
Nature of conflict: Rival conflict
Stylistic features: Face pace editing relays to the ambitious nature of Lil Ze at it shows how fast conflict escalates by showing
several shots of the rival drug dealers being murdered with only a couple of seconds.
Outcome: The effect that this scene has would being showing how conflict is fueled greed/hunger for power and further
dominance it has upon the city and its people.

5. Scene 4: All out war
Scene Description: Ned and Lil Ze gangs fighting one another over a long period of time.
Nature of conflict: The growth of violence
Stylistic features: Montage of footage of both gangs trying to defeat one and other. The use of a montage and fast paced editing
help to relay to the audience the increasing destruction that the conflict has upon the city as well as how the violence becomes
worst and worst in only a time period of weeks within a few minutes.
Outcome:The result of this scene would be revealing how the growth of violence can be spread so easily and demonstrates the
change it has on character’s morality, example being Ned’s confection of not killing the innocent from the beginning but towards
the end he no longer cares who get harmed.

6. Scene 5: Police stand off against Lil Ze
Scene Description: A police patrol confronts Lil Ze and his gang, resulting with the police getting overpowered and fleeing.
Nature of conflict: Violent confrontation
Stylistic features: Non diegetic music isn’t used within this scene. This builds the tension inside the audience as the silence keeps
them guessing/nervous to what may happen next.
Outcome: This shows how much power the gang as that even the police can not over power, running away in fear. This shows the
change in the movie as from the beginning it was the gang running away from the police.

7. Scene 6: Rockets Final Photos
Scene Description: Rocket witnesses the police working with Lil Ze and him being murdered, while taking photographs how every
moment.
Nature of conflict: The conflict of choice
Stylistic features: Narration from rocket explains to the audience the chooses that he has with the different photographs he had
taken.This makes the audience question what choice they would make if they were in Rocket’s place.
Outcome: Unlike the previous scenes this scene’s conflict isn’t created from from violence but the choose over the the two images
that Rocket has taken. One will give him a safe future and a career, the other will make him famous but may place his life in
further danger.
