Characters
Steve:
Steve is one of the main characters in The Case, and is the one in charge. He is also quite
clever compared to his counter partner Billy, and acts as a big brother-father figure to him.
Both Steve, and Billy are looking for two escaped criminals which are plotting to rob various
shops around the town, and cause trouble. Steve is also known to have quite a short
temper, and there are quite a few times when Steve loses his temper with Billy as Billy
makes quite a few mistakes.
Billy:
Billy is the other main character in the radio drama, and is known to be the stupid one of
the two. He follows Steve, and does what he tells him to do like a little brother. In the radio
drama, Billy is known to make quite a lot of silly mistakes throughout The Case, which
causes the criminals to have the upper-hand, and escape. An example of this is when Billy
wanted to try the handcuffs on the criminal’s feet, which allows them to escape on the low.
Criminal 1 & 2:
In the radio drama, we don’t hear much from the criminals throughout, but the main parts
of the radio drama are where the criminals are involved as capturing them is the main
objective of the Radio Drama. The criminals in The Case have just escaped from prison, and
plot to rob more stores, and steal quite a lot of money. Steve, and Billy are assigned to
capture these criminals especially, and do on a few occasions, but got away, because of Billy
being stupid.
Casting:
Simon Pegg:
Simon Pegg will be voicing Steve, and the cast is very similar to Shaun of the dead, and hot
fuzz where there are two main characters, and one of them is the main character, and the
other character is more like the dumb one, and the side kick. The reason Simon Pegg will be
voicing Steve because he suits this character really well.
Nick Frost:
Nick Frost will be voicing Billy, because he suits this role really well just like he has on other
films such as Shaun of the Dead, and Hot fuzz. The other reason Nick Frost was chosen for
this role, is because Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg have a good partnership when it comes to
films, and they both suit this role.
Jason Statham & Daniel Craig
Both Jason Statham & Daniel Craig will be voicing the criminals in The Case. These actors
would normally have a much bigger role, but this is only a radio drama, so they’ve been
handed this role to play.
