“Time is Gold”
What is
Educational
Technology?
Educational Technology is the
study and ethical practice of
facilitating learning and
improving performance by
creating, using, and managing
appropriate technological
processes and resources.
TECHNOLOGY
BOON OR
BANE
Technology is boon. It has a good
purpose to people. It will makes
people’s life easier and comfortable.
But it could be bane and dangerous to
everyone if it is abuse and misuse. If
people do not have self-discipline and
limitation on how to use technology
properly, then it might cause different
problems and issues to people rather
CONCEPTUAL
MODEL
OF
LEARNING
The New Bloom's
Taxonomy
Thinking Skill
From the bottom to top, the
skills are:
O Remember: the most basic level of learning, which
primarily consists of memorization and recall of
facts.
O Understand: students explain concepts through
discussion, identification or classification.
O Apply: students may take presented information
and put it into a new context through
interpretation, demonstration or as a means to
solve problems.
OAnalyze: the opportunity to take ideas and
develop connections through
compare/contrast, experimentation or
examination.
OEvaluate: students use argument, research or
appraisal to justify a stance or decision.
OCreate: the most advanced level of learning,
where new or original work is developed
through formulation, investigation or
construction.
CONE
OF
EXPERIENCE
Technology is the medium of learning
nowadays. Because most of us acquire
knowledge through technology like
textbooks, dictionary and other learning
materials as well as instructional
materials like television, computer,
internet, audio-visual, projector and many
more.
From a constructivist
perspective, the following
are the roles of Technology
in Learning: Jonassen,
et.al 1990
1.Technology as a tools to support knowledge construction
-for representing learner’s ideas, understandings and beliefs.
-for producing organized, multimedia knowledge based by
learners.
2.Technology as information vehicles for exploring knowledge
to support learning-by-constructing
-for accessing needed information
-for comparing perspectives, beliefs and world views
3.Technology as context to support learning-by-doing
-for representing and stimulating meaningful real- world
problems, situations and contexts.
-for representing beliefs, perspectives, arguments and stories of
others
-for defining a safe, controllable problem space for student
thinking
4.Technology as a social medium to support learning by
conversing
-for collaborating with others
-for discussing, arguing, and building consensus among
members of a community.
-for supporting discourse among knowledge building
communities.
5.Technology as intellectual partner to support learning-by-
reflecting.
-for helping learners to articulate and represent what they know
-for reflecting on what they have learned and how they same to
know it.
-for supporting learners internal negotiations and meaning
making
-for constructing personal representations of meaning
-for supporting mindful thinking.
The role of Educational technology in
learning is to introduce the learners into
the world of digital technology. It may
serve as the basic foundation of the
leaner to build knowledge and skills in
technology specially computer and
internet. And it will imparts learning
technology experiences and supported
instruction and develop interactional
group learning activities.
O Learning through Ed tech is must be
enjoyable and not a burden to every
learner because everyone is exposing to
technology and integrating knowledge in
different aspect of technology. And
introduces many strategies in teaching
and learning process.
BY: ELENA N. TABINGA
BSED III
O In ICT1/L I learned basic concept of technology
and information and it was followed by
Educational Technology I and then Educational
Technology II.
O I learned used technology from the basic up to
complex. I realized that technology is important
to us; on how to build of one’s knowledge and
information for example, making a power point
presentation, used excel and etc.
BY: GHEY ANN G. CATALUNA
BSED III
Obviously, the main concern here is
the technology. But not the typical use of
internet, or not the way on how the
student’s can acquire the computer skills
because it is not a computer subject.
However the real that talks about
here is that how the teacher can incorporate
the technology and internet with the
successful learning

BSED III-FILIPINO MAJOR
The
students
after
Educational
Technology
II
 As I observed and experienced, the students after Ed
Tech II will enhance and improve their knowledge
and information how to use technology in a proper
way.
 The learning of the students in Ed tech will be used it
in applying to their daily life. They should be aware
of what are the advantages and disadvantages of
technology to them. And also they know how to
maintain, limit their time using technology and how
to manage the classroom by using the instructional
materials.
BY: GHEY ANN CATALUÑA
BSED III- BSED III- ENGLISH MAJOR
O I can probably say that a student after Ed tech II is
enrich with knowledge and information about
different kinds of technology and how to use it
properly.
O Student will be aware of what is technology in the life
of every learner and what is the advantages and
disadvantages of it, and they know how to manage it.
O Student also knows how to manage classroom using
instructional materials and technology equipped
classroom.
BY: ELENA N. TABINGA
BSED III- ENGLISH MAJOR
The main focus is on the integration of
technologies in teaching and learning. We are
exposed to the computer to become skilful users
preparing us to be competent teachers in the
future.
In this case, when we will be teaching,
we can reinforce and supplement the learning of
our students at the same time exposing them to
a new learning environment.
