Entrepreneurship is a crucial engine of
economic growth now a days. Without
enterprise and entrepreneurs, there would be
little innovation, little productivity growth, and
few new jobs.

4. Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Authority - SMEDA, Premier institution of the
Government of Pakistan under Ministry of
Industries & Production. SMEDA was established
in October 1998 to take on the challenge of
developing Small & Medium Enterprises .

5. The Institute for Policy Reforms (IPR), a think tank, has released a factsheet on
Employment Situation in Pakistan. The factsheet is based on the findings of the
latest Labor Force Survey of 2014-15 released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
According to IPR’s factsheet, between 2012-13 and 2014-15 the number of jobs
created was 1.4 million. Accordingly, the decrease in the number of unemployed
workers was 100,000. As such, by the end of 2014-15, the number of unemployed
workers was 3.6 million
.
The factsheet is based on the findings of the latest Labor Force Survey of 2014-15
released by the “Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.”
6. Campaign Objectives:
makes the fresh graduates aware of entrepreneurship
ventures
motivate them to start their own business instead of
doing a job
Recognize the importance of entrepreneurship as a
subject by the selected department.
7. • The main aim is to identify the quality that could be
tapped to turn these fresh minds into successful private
entrepreneurs.
• Finally, this campaign seeks to discover what triggers
fresh graduates to become successful entrepreneurs,
so that other upcoming communities can learn a lesson
from these significant communities.
9. Targets
Primary targets: The primary targets of our campaign will be the
teachers/students/parents and the banks. Teachers can aware the
students about Loan schemes and motivate them. While banks can gain
trust of students to start their business without the hustle of finding the
business investor.
Secondary target: Our secondary target will be the organizations who
work for the students career counseling and deal with such activities.

12. Expected Outcomes:
In six months at least 30% students;
who are in their final semester, will be
encouraged to start their own business,
and choose the course of
entrepreneurship.
13. Recommendations:
1. Community organizations should provide advice and support to young
people starting out in business – especially in mentoring capacities.
2. Educational institutes should introduce a variety of vocational training
programs. They should encourage students to venture out on their talent
and passion capabilities.
3. Banks and Microfinance institutions should partner with Community
Organizations to improve young people’s access to financing.
4. Parents should, since childhood, encourage their kids to think creatively
and develop decision making skills.
